Stadium Discussion

Sexual assault accusations are a weird thing to joke about.
Well, I would refer to it as sexual "harassment" allegations. The other term is often used to describe rape.

Maybe there are details that I've forgotten, but I don't think he crossed that kind of line. He hit on her and made her feel very uncomfortable, which is not okay. But I don't think it was the kind of bad behavior we can't make light of, especially if he's the target.

1. You're incorrect. The definition of sexual assault absolutely includes unwanting touching (which were part of the allegations) and other things other than rape.
2. If this is going to be an environment where sexual assault/abuse/harassment is joked about, then it is not a welcoming place for people who have experienced those things, and therefore not a place I'd want to hang out.

For those prices, they better have a competitive team with some big names because there's no way they're going to sell those seats with the kind of squad we currently have.

Corporations and businesses will buy up all those seats and use them for gladhanding. I bet a lot of them will be part of sponsorship agreements the team has. Capital RX gets a jersey sponsor and 4 seats in the tunnel club, etc.

Those sections have fewer than 300 seats total. I think they will sell.
The next few levels of premium might cause more trouble.

But (mostly) all the games are on Saturday nights. You really want to entertain clients on Saturday night? This isn't the NFL. It's MLS.

The entry-point is still going to be cheaper than a Yankees or Mets game, which are the only other shows in town in the summer. So yes, I think that will happen.

Plus the corporate sponsors which will get these seats as part of their sponsorship, so families of executives will use them.

I would say moving to the winter schedule could hurt them in this regard because all these corporations have Knicks/Rangers tickets which are going to be more valuable than NYCFC in November or March.

I think we're underrating how hot these tickets will be the first 2-3 years. Yankee Stadium lowered prices when the stadium was no longer a novelty, and NYCFC probably will too after 2-3 years. But this is going to be a pretty hot ticket for a couple years after the stadium opens.

moving to the winter schedule
You know, when it was "moving to the European schedule" I was like, a little whiny 'cause I just didn't want to change things around. But now that you've worded it this way I'm like, "no way, bud, am I going to the stadium on February 1st so I can have my ShackBurger and my rear end freeze solid." LOL

Or you can compare it to the Giants who have limited games like the MLS and play to empty stadium and still have not lowered their prices for their premier seats or to my knowledge any other seats. It is still $20K for the PSL, and still around $7,300/ seat for the premier seats and the upper deck is still $1K PSL and $1K for season tickets.

So based on the sims interview, we are 3-5 weeks ahead of schedule. that's fantastic news! I'm sure we probably won't be opening early, but it is good news that we have a good buffer to open on time for the 2027 season.

Would have been nice if he mentioned a live cam! I'm sure we're not the only fans who would want to see it.

Inter Miami is sponsored by the Hard Rock Resort & Casino in Hollywood, FL. Some of us stayed there for the weekend. During the weekend, and especially after the match, there were a lot of people in Inter Miami gear.

Wonder what the post-match experience will be with a casino nearby...

Well based on our U22 player acquisitions CFG does seem to enjoy very high stakes gambling.
