Survivor - NYCFC Edition

From game 1 to game 2 PV made one change to the starting 11. Seems Survivorish to me. Assuming this one change per game continues, what's your vote? And in your comments, name who would be your one person to vote into the starting XI for next game?

Voting out Hernandez. It's tough because I'd choose Hernandez and Saunders. Hopefully to vote in a healthy Mena.

But with 3 choices, take out an injured Saunders who can't pass and that solves the most problems.

Khiry Shelton will be missing the March 26th game vs. New England because of international duty with the US U23's against their playoff match vs. Colombia for the Olympics. We'll likely see Mendoza start that game.

That means Khiry will naturally lose his spot next game. Whether that is temporary or longer term, we'll see.

And while I think you can fault Saunders for certain things, I think these other two changes are more immediately important. (Though I may be biased here because Saunders gave his post-game mini-ball to my daughter on Sunday.)

I'm intrigued to see if Brillant can adapt to the MLS and he can established a good partnership with Mena

Regarding Saunders, I think it's a bit unfair on him, the 2nd goal was 50% his fault and the other 50% on the team for giving Giovinco too much space, but the amount of times he has won NYCFC games in the past is a quite a bit, the defence is lacking at the moment so Saunders is getting tested more than normal
