lol the field conditions in this lazio game are hilarious. ball getting stuck in standing water as they try to dribble or pass.

and taking taty's hat trick from him... not much of a captain imo.

this liverpool v psg game is great!

best matchup of the tournament so far.
That was the most scintillating, exciting, nail biting
100 minutes of scoreless soccer (after the 12th minute)
I’ve ever seen.

thought the Atletico VAR penalty decision was ridiculous .
They said they made the decision using the semi automatic offsides which tells them if the ball has felt any impact.

The law is pretty clear. Probably wouldn't have been called without semi automatic tech.

Who said? Cause all the videos I’ve seen say the opposite

Which part? The semi automatic part Cristina unkel said on the CBS champions League show. The part of it not being called otherwise is just my opinion
I haven’t seen anything mentioning using semi automatic tech in making the call. It seemed like the call was made solely from visuals. I saw in an Athletic article the exact opposite. That the tech wasn’t used. Which is why I was surprised by a Christina Unkle quote. Not saying you’re wrong at all! I just find it interesting two separate sources are saying the exact opposite thing

Interesting. I would probably trust the Atlantic since they probably asked and didote research while Christina unkel probably just spit balling based on what she thinks happened.

Here's the clip of her explaining it. Apparently there is no chip in the ball for semi automatic offsides and they use a lot of cameras and maths to figure out if the ball has been touched. Would be nice if they showed what they see like they do with goal line tech and offsides. Especially if it's using the same technology. It starts at 4:06 if the timestamp didn't work.

Who wrote this article and how is the UEFA Champions League a domestic cup competition?

For me this seems like a terrible decision and direction for soccer. Somewhere I heard/read, might have been the Unkel vid, that it could have been from the turf moving the ball, not his foot. If that's the case, what if a gust of wind did it (or does it in the future)? I love goal line tech and offsides tech. But this feels more like handball in the box. "Double touch" IMO should be a rule about intent, not what happened to Atletico.
