It is a natural position.....kindaI forgot about the pointing exception to handball.
Also, in my headcanon the Liverpool staffer with the clipboard who was being kissed by the players after the match is both the guy who patiently explained to the squad what a VAR UCL handball penalty looks like and how to capitalize, and the guy who pointed out that Barça sleep on corners.Personally I think Mané flicked the ball at Sissoko's arm region on purpose.
As a neutral I was pretty captivated. I'm increasingly into Poch's tactical setups and adjustments. Llorente probably could have come on a bit earlier. Overall Spurs looked too nervous to take advantage of the few times they managed to isolate themselves 1v1 against Liverpool's backline and couldn't quite make the break.Putrid final for neutrals overall I'd imagine. I actually watched at the New Haven Spurs supporters bar packed with over 90 people in a smallish bar all supporting Tottenham so that might have colored my take on events. I thought both teams were poor, knackered after long seasons and not at all helped by the lengthy lay off. I think in most ways Spurs were the slightly not as bad team but they couldn't finish and Allison was solid.
I honestly think Penalties should only be given for clear goal denying chances. I think that was borderline a PK at best, it hit his chest first, and definitely not something that should be given 25 seconds into a final.
Bs penalty. Ruined the game.
He was pointing. Don't fucking be pointing when you're in your own box goddammit

Yep. At the end of the day, players need to do what's in their control to make themselves as immune as possible to the capriciousness of referees and luck alike. An expensive and painful way to hopefully learn that lesson.Reminded me of a penalty called on Kaka in a game against us 2-3 years back. He was closer to the end line and pointing. It’s a penalty, but if the ref wanted to swallow his whistle on that, I’d have been okay for reasons mentioned. I think it definitely affected the game for the worse.
Throughout this entire UCL tournament handballs like that have been called penalties. It was consistent with many that have gone before.that wasn't a Penalty.
I didnt think they put on a defensive masterclass. I thought Alisson saved their asses a good amount of times.Throughout this entire UCL tournament handballs like that have been called penalties. It was consistent with many that have gone before.
Which, again, I believe Liverpool gameplanned for and Mané saw an opportunity.
Also, weird for a Milan exec or anyone affiliated with Serie A to call the defensive masterclass that Liverpool put on display "terrible".
I may be exaggerating a little.I didnt think they put on a defensive masterclass.
Of course, over the first sixty minutes Liverpool limited Spurs to a total of *five* shots.I may be exaggerating a little.
