USOC - April 14 - Westchester (Away)

Pretty soft pen if you ask me. Seemed like his arm was in a natural position, bracing himself as he was falling. But I missed it in real time, so I can't say for sure. Ref was there.
And the PK was weaker. That boot from Magno wouldn't have broken a window and quite honestly should have been saved.

I have no idea where the 6 or 18 yard boxes are.
I’ve also no idea what those concentric half circles are near each goal.
Magno had to ask the ref where the PK spot is.
The football and soccer sidelines confuse me as they do at every stadium that has both marked.

The half circles are for women's lacrosse. It's like the paint in basketball with rules for how long a defender can stay in that space.

Glad to see Magno getting some goals. maybe it will help with his confidence.

also, no orange socks? that kid just doesn't hit the same w/o the orange socks.

Very helpful, but this stadium has a lot more of those circles. Just as they have 3 apparent sidelines in addition to football and soccer, and all those lines across the penalty area.

Men's lacrosse fields are 60 yards wide just under 7 yards wider than a football field. Womens lacrosse fields are 65 yards wide so those are likely the other two sidelines. Most of my college lacrosse games were on fields with the 4 different sidelines, generally the colors were very distinct and you quickly got used to what line was for you. That said this field has more lines that I have ever seen and the color differences do not seem to be very well delineated.

I can see how it would be easier to ignore the irrelevant lines as a participant than it odd as a viewer.

I don't know, I love the kit with the orange socks but I'm kinda diggin it with the navy too. Different but snazzy in its own way

or playing next to a real 9
I have such contempt for both him and NYCFC management right now. I still respect the 2023 experiment but repeating it in 2026 is absurd.
Plus, screw him. You can’t have zero positional flexibility at his level.
And I still think tonight is mostly about the opponent.
