This is what makes me the most upset about NYCFC. We outplayed Orlando, we had around 75% of possession for a long stretch of the game, but we lost because of one mistake at the back that got punished. Orlando were playing dirty and did not get punished (I think that there was 1 or 2 missed penalty calls, plus Rivas attacking Chanot did not even get a yellow). Everyone likes to say we are an offensively potent team, but there are games where we decide to turn off, and we waste all our effort, getting nothing from the game whatsoever. I hope we start to resolve this because If we are playing worse and we lose it is upsetting but deserved, i hate that Orlando could play like shit and still get 3 points, and nobody is going to care who played better. Nothing can ruin my mood worse that NYCFC.

That being said there were positive, we did dominate this game besides goal scoring. Our defense fell asleep and hopefully it can be worked out. Let's bounce back against DC next week and show the home crowd what we can be.

3 straight games without a fucking goal.

We are cumulatively 2W 8L 3T against the two teams people here talk the most shit about.

We are 0-2-0 against Kreis.
To be fair, it's not our fault the team doesn't show in big games. Im sticking with it being a city problem.

Mata is a lazy, shitty defender. (he's not that good, we should cash out while we're ahead

Umm...I'd tell you guys how I've been saying this, but then Ulrich would remind everyone how I always point out how right I am.

Even so, he's still a better defender than RJ. I honestly don't get the RJ love. I never have. I never will. At heart, he's still the dirtbag twohanded shove in the back he was when we signed him from the youth fields/mafia graveyards of states island. He's fucking horrible.

Shelton is fucking incompetent mentally.

Otherwise, we didn't look too bad. Although, if we aren't going to score some of those chances, I don't know if we'll win too many.

This was an easy point or 3. Orlando is shit. If it's a one off, no big deal. If it's not, then whatever. At least I have a monthly payment plan that auto pays on my cc so I can say fuck it and forget it.

It really is scary that we don't have any guts as a team. We don't show for big games. So weird.

Well, this doesn't bode well for NYCFC fans as a whole...Why do we have idiots support our team? (Someone posted this on Reddit, I have no context)

You know how I know MLS isn't matured? Fucking people throwing shade over every supporter arrest and all that shit.

Fuck man. It happens in every sport. These people buy tickets to the same game as you, maybe even the same scarf or shirt. You don't share anything else with them. It's the goddamn 21st century. People get drunk and do dumb shit in public everywhere alcohol is served. Hell, people do dumb shit in public, period.

I can't find any fucks to give about this sort of stuff. The guy is a tool. But if you take him as a reflection of you, that's on you alone. He's #notmyfellowsupporter. How do people have the energy to be concerned otherwise? We don't even have degrees from CFG. And this is like typical - every college game in every sport happens 250 times more.

98% of NYCFC fans are great, but then there's that 2% of people who call themselves fans of this team who are an embarrassment to the team, to the city, and to the sport. That guy should never be allowed in an MLS stadium ever again.

I don't know ... I don't ever remember seeing a Yankees fan rip a seat out of Fenway Park.

Man. I really missed the hilarious overreactions from people on this forum. Glad the season is back!
I don't think it's an overreaction. Orlando was injured Going into this game. They were missing 3 starters I think. Back line was thrown together. Plus kaka got injured. We possessed 75% and did very little with it. Missed opportunities. Have every right to be frustrated.

So looking at the new guys:

Johnson - no chance on the goal; don't think he had anything else to do. Seemed ok with his feet at the back, no Manuel Neuer but didn't seem to be a calamity.

Callens - pretty good passer of the ball, fell asleep on the goal. Potential there. Of course got a reprieve when Larin went out.

Ring - he looked good being a runner to complement Pirlo; remember once or twice he came in to support Pirlo when Pirlo was beat. Should have buried his chance. Also seemed to be too high up the field? Showed a mean streak too. Definite potential there.

Moralez - kind of a quiet night for him, seemed to be dropping really deep in midfield. Has good skill on the ball but need more from him.

Wallace - seemed like he got the message "hey! I'm back in MLS! Foul everyone!" Very physical (lucky not to get a second yellow), but also very active down the sideline. Combined well with Matarrita, needed a bit more skill going forward.

Overall a decent debut. This team looks like these players arrived two weeks ago. But potential is there.

Say what on behalf of this entire forum you said fuck off to and with your temperament tonight please go find yourself a nice ripe juicy egg plant to suck the shit out of ! and for god sake remember these games are Andrea's last ever !! he will be gone for good making you and all you haters happy .

I want us to win a big game at some point. Just so we aren't always "typical city".

I really think the organization as a whole is struggling to piece together the amazing corporate philosophy they push at the organization level, and still having supporters feel like the players give a damn.

Not a man city fan, but I feel like I've seen plenty of them complain about similar feelings.

I just feel like we often lack heart. Regardless of the organisation. We too often have dudes that are good and dgaf or they work hard and aren't any fucking good at all. Frustrating as hell.

But it's early this year. And it's encouraging to know we won't have to identify new problems because they are largely the same as last year.

Also, ATL is a better version of what we claim to want to be.
