No More Smoke At Ys

Stop being so butt hurt about this. We all love the smoke. I'm an Everton Supporter, through and through. There is something special about how my Toffee fans are able to smuggle in blue smoke to away games, especially at the Man U game two seasons ago.

But I'm guessing you're probably 19 years old and have experienced very little in life. You just can't allow a bunch of dopes in an SG to play with these smoke cannisters.

Lol who's butt hurt bro? Lmao I'm fucking with you over and over. I'm a City fan and I'm 25 but yeah in the eyes to many that's still inexperienced. Which is why I'm saying that the club should deal with the Third Rail severely by banning and revoking privileges and rights to attend games or march to a game because they give the team a negative outlook. But at the same time give fans a chance to express their love by allowing some things like flag poles, microphone like Seattle Sounders do, and other things but I'm totally in agreement with cracking down on groups that cause these problems. Sorry if I came off like a dick but saying shit like NY is a target which I'm not denying but at the same time tying that with smoke, etc? Really?

I'm not disagreeing with pyrotechnics in general but it also doesn't hurt to let off smoke in a controlled environment. Just because groups like The Third Rail are trying to become the bad boys of the west they should be dealt with separately not ruin it for everyone else.

I think everyone here is FOR blue smoke. What we are saying is that supporters can't set it off.

Do you think that Portland allows some schmuck to use the chainsaw when they score a goal?

Again I'm not arguing your statement whatsoever I just didn't agree with the whole post 9/11 comment and second rate country comments hence my frustration but you're absolutely right in everything else.

Everything is second rate compared to the USA.

Second rate country? Lol please enlighten me how England, Germany, etc are second rate countries. You seriously should respond with more intelligence before answering something. That's a typical ignorant statement by saying "American is not like a second rate country" yet we don't top the list in anything in the world except maybe obesity and stupidity from a government.
You are aware that people get hurt over there using these devices no?

A couple smoke bombs went off after scoring as well. And it appears as though people got thrown out that had nothing to do with it as they were thrown and landed by their feet.

Its really a shame.

Seems like a reasonable sacrifice to make sure the smoke bombers and their buddies can get the best possible smoke filled selfies to prove to all their friends that they are hard core soccer fans. I'd be willing to bet these are the same people who set a bunch of smoke off in the street after the game. All while singing and chanting like we won a championship after we got spanked by the red bulls. They don't care about the team or their fellow fans that they are getting wrongfully ejected. They care about taking selfies and video taping themselves looking cool. Seriously next time you walk by one of the after game loss celebrations in the street stop and look how many people have their phones out filming themselves.

It has become a selfish thing to do. Check out this video (fast forward to the 3 minute mark - 2 minute mark if you want to see TMac's thunder strike!):

I don't know whether the guy in the video threw smoke or not and neither do the police, but he got thrown out regardless.

Upside of "smoke": there is some colored smoke for a few seconds, can post "cool" selfies on facebook capturing that ultra pose amidst the colored smoke.

Downside of smoke: innocent bystanders get ejected and potentially arrested, ruins peoples clothing and personal belongings, painful on the eyes and to the lungs to some, security/police presence in the sections will increase, fans lose any credibility with YS/FO, eliminates any chance for further favorable concessions by YS/FO, SG lose credibility with YS/FO, SG lose any and all leverage with YS/FO, YS/FO conclude they are dealing with an immature and unreasonable fan base, a few bad apples spoil the bunch, the selfies don't actually look that cool.

Doesn't seem like a close call.
