2023 Leagues Cup

Anybody see the Orlando Miami game? During added time in the first half there was a sequence where Messi hip checked an Orlando player to the ground with no call, then moments later Messi was fouled and it was a soft yellow to Orlando, then when the players were arguing with the ref Busquets put his hand on Kyle Smith's neck and no call on that either.

Then around '51 Martinez drew an extremely soft PK.

Yep. Saw all of this. And it was one of the best refs in CONCACAF. Get used to the new normal.

yea, not liking seeing messi take advantage of his status to commit cheap fouls.... he's gotten back at people for fouls on him and stuff, but it was never so obvious as it was last night. not a good look, imo

Also walking to the locker room at half time. He had an Orlando player to his left who seemed to just want to mind his own business. Messi kind of veered left into him and the guy game him space and Messi crowded him again, and the guy looked like some schnook getting hit by Tony Soprano, knowing he just has to take it. Quite unseemly.

MLS After dark is amazing. Never fails to deliver. Okay, maybe it does sometimes. But this time, it's delivering, oh boy.

wild game. proud of FC dallas for playing w/o fear unlike every other team so far. they took it to miami and some silly fouls and messi magic cost them the game.

amazing game. was not expecting that one bit.
 
Every other team should just forfeit, mls scriptwriters have Miami winning the Leagues Cup. It’s Messi League Soccer now.
