Late to the game, but overall I thought this was a very exciting performance - an early look at some new guys who looked impressive (Ring and Maxi in particular) and some great fluid play in the midfield, accompanied bysome solid defending.
Johnson was brave - I noticed at one point, he passed to the defender then actually ran out of the box PAST THE ATTACKER to receive the return pass!
And I thought RJ looked significantly better than Gomez has in preseason - gave the ball away less, got some tackles in and doesn't lack for flair. He's still a baller in my opinion and made even more heroic given that this is his first proper job as a footballer!
