2019 Season Ticket Thread

Anyone ever park at 651 River Avenue, MPG Parking? If you have, what’s your opinion of getting on/off I-87 on game day?
If it's the Bronx Terminal Market lot you'll be able to get on/off I-87 easily, depending on the direction you're coming from. If you're coming down from a northern location (Westchester), just get off Exit 6, stay left at the fork and it takes you right there. Post game there is an entrance ramp from under the highway that will take you right onto I-87, so getting onto I-87 is incredibly easy. Only problem is the plethora of other people also trying to get on.

I've never parked in the Terminal Market, but I have used the lot just north of it adjacent to the Metro North Station, known on Google maps as "Ali's lot."

I typically use Ali's lot these days. Coming/Going from Westchester, it's a very easy in off Exit 6. Fairly easy out, but you can get stuck in a little traffic as you are getting on the I-87. I imagine the lot in Bronx Terminal Market will be the same, although I don't know where the entrance and exit are.

The best out after the game is from the 161st Street garage, but only if you park on the lower level. You used to be able to drive between the Ruppert Plaza garage and 161st Street on the lower level, but they block it now for unknown reasons.

Shhhhhhh! The bottom level of the 161st Street is a secret!!

The trade in rules say there is an 8 game limit to trade out of. Does anyone know if that is per seat or altogether. Meaning if I trade in one seat Saturday would I still have 8 remaining on my other seat? I figure 8 total for the account, and I probably won't hurt the limit anyway, but I still wonder.

Not sure. But it’s a 48 hour window before the match to get full value on your trade in. So if you’re going to do it, pull the trigger before 1pm on Thursday.

Is your avatar a picture of you? If so I will keep an eye out on Saturday. I will be with Gotham, Jr., pictured at left.

How do you get down there? The one time I tried going via 161st, they made me park on the roof, and it took all day to get out. I entered off McCombs Dam Bridge Road - the entrance right across from the entrance for Ruppert. Can you park on the bottom if you enter off 161st?

Has anyone figured out how the Premium Upgrade program works?

It specifically says that "This Upgrade does not provide access to the venue. You'll still need a normal ticket for that." But then as soon as you start the process to check out the first thing it does is ask if you want to trade-in your tickets -- for that game -- as a credit towards the Upgrade! But if you do that, you can't get in.

Unless you're supposed to do that, and then buy the cheapest tickets you can find on Stubhub maybe? Is that the deal? Does anyone know for sure?

There is no upgrade program as you and I would define it. The upgrade, as they define it, is selling your tickets and buying better ones.

I come from s/b Deegan at Macombs and enter on what is technically Jerome Ave (make a left with the stadium ahead of you). Once you're in, ignore the signs or what anybody says and just keep going down.

I emailed my rep and she called me. It turns out you're better off not upgrading using the Upgrade feature, but by adding tickets, and it works like Fred says. You add[really buy] the new tickets in premium seats which are regular tickets that get you in the door. You simultaneously trade in the old ones, and that credit, plus any existing credits/tokens offset the cost of the new tickets.

Also, on my earlier question, I found more detail on the website about the 8 game limit, and though it is never explicitly addressed, everything points to it being an 8-game limit for the account. And I then realized, that since I mostly have Delta tickets for the benefit of my family, I should probably trade in both tickets for Saturday and buy something cheaper on Stubhub to get me in the door and watch from a different perspective since I'm going solo. Pretty much win-win.

There is no upgrade feature. No matter what you select, you get to the same place. This was explicitly confirmed to me by the head of ticketing.

The Knicks use the same developer for their app and they have 2 things we don't -- last minute discount tickets and day of game upgrades.

We can't do the former, as there are so many tickets available for each game at every price level that it would be too easy to wait for the last-minute deals.

The latter is exactly what I thought/hoped was what they were going to do as it let you upgrade the ticket purchased for a small fee. Problem there is that it would be too easy to buy a cheapo ticket and upgrade it, whereas for a Knick game, there's no such thing as a cheapo ticket.
