Teaching in person these days?

No. We're remote for 2 weeks following the winter break. We're supposed to go back after MLK day.

My school was hybrid from the middle of September until middle of November. Then we got shut down just about 2 weeks before Thanksgiving. Opened 2 weeks after Thanksgiving for about 5 days and shut down again. So I've been in person for about 1 week in the last 2 months.

Second dose on February 4th.

Did you do that when you signed up? My wife didn’t get any information. Maybe she’ll get it next Monday when she goes. But good on you

So you are looking at half the season or more with no fans in attendance (in a very optimistic scenario). Yikes.

for us yes, but remember miami/ orlando/ SKC/ columbus did have fans in 2020 so it will be case by case.

Yeah, while getting the shot they scheduled the second dose.

Wasn't attendance at the Bills game a trial run for fans at other sporting events? Maybe they can have a couple thousand fans in attendance at YS.

Republican governments with more lax rules regarding COVID safety, more pro-business.

have you been listening to Cuomo lately? He's done a 180. Months of lockdowns and super strict rules in NYC and suddenly, he wants to open everything up, have pop up concerts, redevelop the empty office buildings/hotels in midtown into affordable housing? seriously? Makes no sense whatsoever.

So - it is very likely there could be limited attendance at YS as early as the spring.

CVS has been so great with testing and scheduling flu shots. Why aren't they being used already? Is NY like MA where CVS is on every block?
There was a potential plan to have a mass vaccination program administered at a bunch of places, coordinated county-by-county by local health departments. They piloted it with drive-thru testing and flu shots, etc. Instead, Cuomo scrapped the plan, centralized complete control of it, and put already burdened hospitals in charge of administering it. He's already had to revise it because of how badly it failed, with unused doses going in the trash.

Honestly so frustrating. I don't think it's asking too much for the covid vaccine to be rolled out with at a minimum as much success as they were able to massively vaccinate millions of NYC'ers in 1947 for small pox, all within a month.

there are CVSs, Duane Reades, and even RiteAids all over the city. I think CVS was one of the companies that said they had the facilities to store the vaccines.

As danger said, Cuomo just screwed everything up and the state or city's (not sure who really controls it) IT people aren't able to put together a simple reservation system that is easy to navigate and use. How hard can it be? DBD's unwillingness to acknowledge the failure and explain how it's being fixed just makes him look more foolish than he usually does.

A few massive vaccine centers have opened or will be opening. Closest one to me is Javitz. Of course, I am not eligible and probably won't be until at least early summer.
