Away - October 3 - Miami (Postgame)

As always, made it harder than it needed to be. But it’s great watching Mitri get into his groove. Confidence does wonders.

Overall play could have been better, but the heat was definitely a factor coming from much cooler temps here on the same day with essentially no time to get used to it.

Both miami goals were bangers, but they both stemmed from Parks giveaways that should have never happened. I am really down on Parks this season. I don't think he's given us enough going forward to warrant his really HUGE mistakes on the defensive end. He calls himself a box to box midfielder, but his defensive effort is lacking imho.

We got through this. It wasn't pretty the whole game but that first 10-15 minutes, we were playing quickly and moving the ball with fluidity. It was a JOY to watch. We just couldn't keep it up because miami got into the game or the heat started getting to us.

I think everyone knows it wasn't our best game, but it was an important away win. We end the season with tough opponents away from home. Every point we get here on out will be crucial to get the highest place in the standings as possible.

Also, still can't understand why Ronny would play Medina over Isi. Medina was pretty useless the entire time and I think isi would have given us a lot more options 1v1 and pace in behind.

Let's see how Ronny copes with YS dimensions against a bunkered DC side.. or maybe they won't bunker this time?

Also, after watching the replay of Mitrita’s last goal, I am convinced that the “lucky deflection” came off the defender’s hand.

I thought I saw that, too. The replays were not great, though. Hands were down by his side and it was pretty clearly ball to hand, since it doesn't appear MLS is using this awful new rule the Premier League is.

Yeah, I saw it as a handball. But we're not following the IFAB rules that are currently in the Premier League. MLS is a year behind when it comes to implementing new IFAB rules due to the summer schedule.

Which means that in this year's MLS version of the rules, it's not a handball. It's ball to hand and play on. Really glad the ball went into the net.

It depends upon which defender it glanced off of. After viewing a couple of angles, it looks like it comes off Sweat (#22). He did not have his arms by his side. The other defender (I think Figal, #5) did have his arms by his sides.
