It was pretty obvious that Tolleson and Joy weren't physically at the game last night, or else they would've seen live the goal by Mullins and reacted to it. Easily the worst broadcast of the year. Disappointing that we're not even sending the guys on the call 100 miles away to actually be there.

Wth haha that's a damn shame philly is right there why couldn't they send em

Still pissed about that second goal. When they cut from replay to live feed I saw the ball already inside the goal I just yelled goal at home confused thinkin it didn't count.

Come on YES don't be like univision that keep showing replays over and over that will cause you to miss important plays

My reaction too. Saw the ball in the net, but without any reactions from the announcers I thought it was waved off. Never knew the YES Network was a nickel and dime operation like that.

They did a pretty shitty job last night. They actual missed two important plays because of replay. How do you not time this stuff? They must have the interns running the broadcasts.

They have big name producer and director who made bad decisions. I for one always thought all replays I. Soccer should on be P-I-P (picture in picture), it's also the only good way to have ad revenue during games and not have the ads. Most networks have been doing full Screen Replays even ESPN during nba finals. They should really mostly stick to p-i-p it is for the best

If the fans can make the trip out of their own expense, why couldn't the crew. Poor job

i was wondering when they kept showing the bridge in the back in the post game the people weren't moving lmao....why not just be there? don't the away broadcasters usually travel???

I would imagine so!
Not that often. This happens a lot.

You might remember the video that went around recently of Ray Hudson going to the Camp Nou for the first time. He's been calling Barcelona games for years but it was his first time there.

This happens all the time.

Very true and great point. I hope they can make it to the Cosmos match...

I tend to watch the MLS live broadcast instead of the YES broadcast for this exact reason. Even though the video feed is usually the same you at least get announcers who are in the stadium. The one down side is that they are biased towards the home team but its not too bad. Since they only know their teams players I usually learn a bit about the opponent.

It generally only happens with lower budget networks like BeIn who broadcast all their matches from all over the world. In that case, it's understandable. In this case, it's pretty insane that they can't make the relatively short commute.
