No, it's a joke playing off how Melbourne fans (at least some) don't want to look like Sydney, per:

They're not as fussed about it being similar to MCFC's (although that's not to say that they don't mind). Far more pressing of a point for them is that sky blue is the traditional "sporting colours" of the state of New South Wales, which is why Sydney FC play in sky blue already.

Plus is I looked up the Sydney kit after reading that and as light blue kits go I kind of like it..

Haha. Doesn't help that for all but one and a half seasons of the entire history of the club they've had the man who is statistically the worst A-League manager in history, of all those with over 50 games managed. Thankfully he's now left, but their caretaker manager is his old assistant, and just as bad.

Next season could be good though.

Is your question did Adidas update/create a new keeper kit for MLS this season? If so, then yes. So far I've only seen the green one Sean Johnson played in for Emelec but perhaps other teams' pre-season games reveal the others (I assume same design in the usual colors: orange, purple, black, etc).
