2018 Season Ticket Thread

For those planning on travelling to away games this season, the front office is subsidizing away tickets so NYCFC fans only have to pay $10. Looking over the games I will be travelling to this year, it's savings of $250.

Priority goes to Third Rail and NYCSC then to City Members.

Weird they have not promoted this beyond the web page. No emails, no tweets, etc.

Does Citi Field count as an away game?

Season ticket packages are expected to be delivered the first week of March. Which feels like it's cutting it awfully close.

I guess it depends what they mean the "first week of march", since it starts on a Thursday. First full week is after our first game

Ah the annual wringing of the hands ritual begins as season ticket holders anxiously await the fedex tracking number for their packages. This will be shortly followed by the time honored practice of bitching about how underwhelming the "gifts" are.

It’s up there with Festivus for me.

Fully expected to find 47 new posts complaining about this.

Really? StubHub sells better than Ticketmaster. Plus in my eyes. My question is can we still get account credit w SH? I’m come to enjoy taking that option and then just paying less for my STs the next season.

This platform will basically copy what the Yankees do. Nycfc ticket manager will hook into Stubhub, and any tickets bought via Stubhub will show up in the buyer’s Stubhub app and be a mobile code.

Works for me.

StubHub Becomes Official Fan to Fan Ticket Resale Marketplace of NYCFC
The largest ticket marketplace in the world, StubHub will enable NYCFC fans to reach an extensive network of buyers when they are looking to resell tickets to a game they cannot attend. The new product will replace NYCFC's former Ticket Exchange platform.

The partnership will enhance the game day ticketing experience and increase efficiency.

Mobile Ticketing
To expedite entry at the gates and to comply with Yankee Stadium policy there will be a few additional changes to the ticketing protocol for NYCFC home games. To ensure a ticketing experience that is safe and secure, PDFs will no longer be available for all fans, including City Members.

Moving in the direction of mobile ticketing will allow City Members the ability to transfer tickets to friends and family whenever they want and eliminates the two week delivery delay that was in place for PDFs.

Read below for more information on mobile ticketing and how to transfer and resell your tickets on StubHub.

New York City FC today announced a new partnership with StubHub. The agreement will see StubHub become the Club’s Official Fan to Fan Ticket Resale Marketplace.

The largest ticket resale marketplace in the world, StubHub will enable NYCFC fans to reach an extensive network of buyers when they are looking to resell tickets to a game they cannot attend. The deal will enhance the game day ticketing experience for fans and increase user efficiency. The new product will replace NYCFC’s former Ticket Exchange platform.

As part of the sponsorship agreement with NYCFC, StubHub will receive full marketing and sponsorship benefits, including in-stadium signage, branding on digital, and use of official team marks.

Moving into the 2018 season, there will be a few additional changes to the ticketing protocol for NYCFC home games in order to comply with the Yankee Stadium policy and expedite entry at the gates for fans.

The Club has been in the process of moving to mobile over the last couple of soccer seasons and began eliminating print-at-home paper tickets (PDFs) back in 2016. New this year, to ensure a ticketing experience that is safe and secure, PDFs will no longer be available for fans, including City Members.

Moving in the direction of mobile ticketing will allow City Members the ability to transfer tickets to friends and family whenever they want and eliminates the two week delivery delay that was in place for PDFs. NYCFC will offer the opportunity for fans to send and receive mobile tickets on a smartphone in addition to traditional hard stock paper tickets and Seasoncards for City Members. All tickets delivered/resold through StubHub can be delivered via mobile transfer. Tickets will be available on both iOS and Android devices.

Since the inaugural season, PDF usage has dropped over 20% amongst City Members, with mobile becoming increasing more popular. NYCFC will continue to move in the direction of mobile ticketing to provide fans with this preferred ticketing experience.

New York City FC President, Jon Patricof, commented:

“We are excited to partner with StubHub. We are confident this partnership will provide a great platform to buy and resell tickets to our NYCFC matches.

“We are constantly evaluating how to better the fan experience. Staying on the forefront of tech innovations is a priority for us and will allow us to continually enhance the fan journey from start to finish.”

Jill Krimmel, StubHub’s General Manager of MLS, MLB and NCAA, continued:

“As NYCFC enters its fourth season, we welcome the Club’s passionate fans to the StubHub family. We look forward to providing the NYCFC community our trusted platform, backed by our 24/7/365 customer service.”
