Hoping we can snag at least a point on the road, would be nice to have a nice game to pick up a bit of momentum before the game against the Red Bulls.

Teams in Champions or Europa league play twice a week all the time. We should be fit enough to handle this turn around once in the bloody season!

True but teams that succeed under those conditions have depth/rotation in their roster and sometimes it is the demise of a team that does not (look at Everton in Premier League & Europa this past season)

We have to keep up our undefeated "by fifa standards" June. Then we beat Montreal on July 4th for America...shout out a Scarface "okay I'm reloaded" and have Pirlo, Iraola, Angelino, and Lampard take the pitch on the 12th.

Ya know, as I was reading this I somehow heard the theme from Rocky playing. And fireworks, too! How did you *do* that?!?!?!

Sometimes a team has to step up. They have to will themselves to victory despite any number of reasons they should fail.

I believe this to be such an occasion. They're coming off a tough loss, fatigue is an issue and they're playing a better team. Now is the time to see the true character of the team.

A win here would be huge for both the playoff push and going in strong against the Redbulls.

looks like it'll be broadcast on foxsports online? That I can get though my cable provider so I hope that's correct.

Going to be a really interesting lineup tonight. It'll be good to have Tommy Mac back in the lineup. He's really been playing well making runs and moving the ball around. He and Ballouchy on the left are night and day. Mehdi has a tendency to hold onto the ball and wait for things to happen and Mac will take it upon himself to play a dangerous ball -- something we'd really lacked the first 1/3 of the season.

Nemec should be pretty fresh, too, along with Villa. Hopefully his confidence is up from his time in Europe. I'm a bit worried about central defense, though. With Facey going 120 and Hernandez another ~80, will they be good to go tonight? Mix at least didn't have to deal with time zones this time around, but I'd still be surprised if he didn't start.

Kreis has his work cut out for him trying to form this lineup. Gio will be a handful for a guy like Jacobson, who also went 120 this week.

What's Toronto's defensive situation? I feel like they can give up a bunch of goals, too.

Yes it would. I've been looking at the schedule and thinking about this in the context of the countdown to all of our new players. I think we need at least 5 points out of our next 3 games. That means we need either a point from each of TFC and NJ or a win from one of these games and a win at MTL. I worry for the whole we are further digging as well as the mental weight if we only get 1 or 0 points from the next two games. Of course, I'd gladly take 9 points as a welcome gift to Frank, Andrea (please, please, please) and our new FB dynamic duo.

Meara is listed on the injury report as out today. Did he get hurt falling off the bench? What the fuck is wrong with this guy? What an awful loan!

8 days between this and the derby. There will be time to rest in between . professional athletes should be able to handle this. I don't think we should need wholesale lineup changes because of Wednesday.

What do you guys think the score will be?
9-1. BWP opens the scoring. Then Villa Mix and Poku each put in a hat trick.

EDIT: lol I'm switching threads too fast. Make that Gio scores the opener.

Seeing rain in the Bronx weather report for tonight. Suppose it's too much to hope if the Yanks get rained out they'll actually show our match on regular Yes?
