What grounds would they have? Rules are written and there’s concrete evidence of subterfuge.
thats already been started though, i think the same football leaks showed that allegedly Bayern Munich had already been talking and having a few teams on board already. It is very possible, even back when the G14 was a thing it was alluded they wanted to break away.

I don’t see how their argument wins. Claiming FFP stifles Competition is bunk - nobody says teams can’t do it, but if they choose to there are consequences such as not being able to play in continental cups.
Right, and they didn’t bail on UEFA before so there’s no guarantee they’ll do it now. I’d wager there’s less of a chance they’d show solidarity considering there’s evidence of MCFC skirting the rules for an unfair competitive advantage.... why would ManU or Arsenal or Liverpool agree to support an organization that via their cheating directly hurts them in all competitions??? Might as well start season down 6pts or more considering what an extra £100M+ can do for a side.
I don't know that claiming that FFP stifles competition is an effective way for CFG to wangle their way out of this situation. But in one of these posts you're saying that it doesn't stifle competition (I think) and in the other you're saying that the act of flouting FFP makes it harder for CFG's competitors. Isn't that a bit of a contradiction?
Also isn't keeping clubs out of competitions the definition of stifling competition?
It's possible that I've misinterpreted what you mean by bunk as "bollocks" vs merely "ineffective", in which case I apologize.
Finally, I feel like the term "cheating" kind of misconstrues the situation slightly. Yes they are flouting the rules, but the rules seem inherently unfair to me. So "skirting the rules for an unfair competitive advantage" is more like "skirting the rules to avoid an unfair competitive disadvantage". I'm not sure what's "fair" about making it easier for the rich to get richer and the poor to get poorer, and I'm clearly no Abu Dhabi advocate.

Sorry, let me clarify.
In the first quote, I'm saying that the other teams won't move leagues because they agree that skirting FFP stifles competition - they won't support MCFC because it's not in their best interests to allow a club to use unlimited resources.
In the second quote, I'm writing about what MCFC will use as their argument (per the article) that the enforcement of FFP stifles competition because it limits what an owner can do, and that's just a bunk argument - it's actually gaslighting the situation because skirting FFP is what is stifling when other teams are immediately taken out of the competition because it's not a level playing field.

He’s also the owner of the San Diego Seals and trying to buy the Hurricanes. He’s from the area and I wouldn’t be shocked if he wants another New York sports team in his portfolio. I just don’t think CFG will ever sell.
