My understanding is all our chants are created top down from a list, so I doubt this could happen.
My point is that a lot of the assistants underneath top managers end up getting gigs like OCG Nice.

I don't know how we could be any happier than this. Of course, time will tell, but to have a guy that has been with the greatest coach on Earth for over a decade and who has also previously coached Villa - that's about as perfect as you can get.
and fluent in spanish.
He should have learned all that already at the 2014 All-Star game.
ETA: my mistake - he joined MC in 2014 before Pep did? I see conflicting dates.

When Caleb Porter returns to coaching and faces NYCFC, will Torrent shake his hand after the game?
I'm sure we'll be more than quite really pleased with it.

The worst part about Vieira leaving is we're going to have to come up with another joke.
All in all, I think we probably upgraded from a tactics and coaching chops standpoint.
As others have pointed out, it will be interesting to see how the team responds, though.
Nonetheless, I expect we will see certain players' growth curves really ramp up. I also expect that we will see less of Tommy.
Unlike some portion of folks here (majority?), I don't think PV was that great at man management, and I've never thought our team seemed particularly close.
One thing you can be sure of is that Villa signed off on this hire, and he'll likely play where and when he wants from here out. I don't know if that in itself is good or bad. If it means Berget is mostly a sub, and we start with Villa plus two of three from Lewis, Isi and Medina in the front three, then it's 100% awesome IMO.
I also believe we'll see an improved ability to score through sustained possession. We hardly have ever done that. But now that I think about it, who really does anymore? So maybe it's not that important in today's game, but it would surely be a positive to have that in our locker.

Torrent's employer as of yesterday, for one.
In MLS, NYCFC and SKC are toward the top of the league for both possession and scoring, but I agree that there's been a disconnect between how we retain the ball and how we create chances. If anybody knows how to fix that, it should be a dude who's apprenticed under Pep for the last decade.

This is a good point and surprisingly little discussed here. I have certainly noted that we prioritize possession but tend to score when moving the ball quickly rather than when sustaining possession in the other team's half. It will be interesting to see what changes with new management, and if that's one of them.
Since you’ve now endorsed him, I hope he plays Sweat and Berget just to wind you up.

If he follows Pep system the first player to sit will be Berget he definitely does not fit a man city system, they like talented players.
