All I can say right now is that there are legs to this.If Dome takes another MLS job, I wish bad jazz clubs and long travel delays upon him.

Austin already has Josh WolffAustin?
Duh! Of course.Austin already has Josh Wolff
if his problems were CFG not spending and getting the players he wants, perhaps another MLS team is ok. But right now, there aren't any MLS teams in the top spending tier that are willing to take him. Unless Chicago, as part of its new image, is going to go on a shopping spree.
But if Dome's unhappiness was due to MLS guidelines moreso than CFG spending, then pretty silly move.
This is very much like Jose going from a complaining about not getting the players he wants from Woodword to a club that hasn't spent any significant money in 5 years.
I care because if he does leave for another MLS team, that can only indicate some sort of issues with our club. If he goes back to Europe, different story, but an MLS move makes it harder to defend CFG's stewardship of this club.I don't care where Dome goes , he left NYCFC good riddance.

Dome, there is a fantastic option available in Orlando. Fantastic city with great culture.
(Laughing imagining Dome living in the armpit of Florida)
The intense rivalry between two teams 1000 miles apart, one of which has never made the playoffs and that have never played a meaningful game against each other. If he goes to Orlando, it would just stoke the MLS rivalry machine between us and them.
I think Domé is a good coach and I wish he stayed. But away from the field I do not have much respect for his judgment or temperament. I specifically think he is thin-skinned and I doubt he quite understands MLS salary cap nuances and limits. Can the NYCFC cynics and the rose-colored glasses people agree that if Dome signs with another MLS team than the phrase dumpster fire is 100% appropriate?
My point was that if he leaves for another MLS job given the commentary about why he left, it means the work situation at NYCFC must really be a shitshow.I think Domé is a good coach and I wish he stayed. So, no.
Maybe. Maybe not. He may have held a grudge ever since the bosses (rightfully) put the Great Dome on the chopping block early in the season. He’s both a snob and a baby, so it could be a lot about him. I am sure the bosses contributed as well, but this isn’t necessarily a clear indictment. My point was that if he leaves for another MLS job given the commentary about why he left, it means the work situation at NYCFC must really be a shitshow.

By itself in a vacuum, perhaps. Coupled with Reyna going to an organization that has a universally despised owner, no.Maybe. Maybe not. No, not in a vacuum. Fred’s suggestion was that Dome joining another MLS team means that CFG is a shitshow. My point is that given what we know, this could be a lot about Dome. I believe that it’s likely that he was embarrassed and ashamed that anyone could question his abilities. Even worse in a rec league like MLS. It could have been already over at that point. As I mentioned, CFG likely contributed because they are CFG. But this probably is a lot about Dome.By itself in a vacuum, perhaps.
