FIFA Club World Cup 2025

Soccer is very much a team sport, but Nouhou singlehandedly just put Seattle down a goal vs. Botafogo. Got baited into committing a needless foul and conceding a free kick in a dangerous spot, which Botafogo then converted, with Nouhou's mark scoring the goal.

LAFC gives the good effort against Chelsea but comes up short 2-0. Fair result and LAFC showed well. They almost equalized in the 78' and then Chelsea come down the other end and put the game away.

MLS teams have shown well so far. Miami maybe not so much, even though they got the only result. Seattle had more possession, shots and xG against Botafogo, and while some of that may be game state, they seemed to deserve more than a 2-1 defeat. Unfortunately for them, their next two games are against Athletico Madrid and PSG.

People hate on him for his national team career but Christian roldan is a baller and plays with so much heart, couldn't we have had him in our first super draft or something?

just for FYI went to the palmeiras vs porto. only half full stadium. they looked to have closed off more than half of 300 level seating. still some empty spots here and there in the sections opened to public. including transportation and ticket was $72 not terrible.

Gold Cup tonight. DR surprisingly up 1-0 on Costa Rica late first half, but our Alonso draws a foul in the box--pen to CR! Some other guy took the penalty though. Now 1-1.

I went to the City v Wydad match in Philly. There were more City fans there, but the Wydad supporters were another level. It showed the clear difference between fans and supporters. I think I heard one or two faint City chants, while the Wydad supporters were bringing the heat all match. It reminds me of how important Los Templados are to our match day experiences.

My buddy and I met several Wydad supporters and they were all super friendly. Some came from Paris, Roma and from here in New York.

The game was fairly dull because it got hot and City were happy to strangle the life out of the game after they went up 2-0.

The Eagles' stadium has a design where if you are in the concourses, you can't see shit. Made me appreciate the openness of both YS and CF.

We got breakfast in Philly and people were nice to us after we said we were from New York!

I got to 4 games including Citys.

Yes Wydad fans were good but Esperance were the best I saw followed closely by Palmeiras.

Wydad fans on a level with Flamengo, Fluminense and Al Ahly.

City following was mainly US/Canadian fans, not many Mancs there plus City fans spread out all over the stadium whereas Wydad were better organised and all together.

Never thought our fans would be louder ( just about) than Dortmund though as there were a few bricks missing from their Yellow wall.
Both City and Dortmund vocal support was shite.

Had a great time in Philly and New York for 5 days but boy it got hot. The fans I met from the 4 games I attended were all very friendly and it was a pleasure to be there, think this WCC will only get better in future years.
Not sure many City fans from England will get out there for the later stages if we get through as I looked today and the costs are crazy when booking short notice.

Best T shirt I saw was worn by a US based City fan with " Wydad always me?" which I thought was very clever.
