Forum trip to New England away game

I have been toying with the idea of putting together a trip to Foxboro for one of our away games there. There is a Wednesday in July, the 6th, and a Saturday game in September. If we could get about eight guys together, we could rent a van. It is a little over two hours from fairfield, CT. I could pick up anyone north of there, but Metro north runs right here from grand central if anyone from the city would be interested. I don't drink, so I would be willing to drive.

Let me know if there is any interest, and if so I will try to organize something.

Definitely interested. Subject to work, I was planning to try to go up for both. I may or may not need transport up there, but would definitely want to be part of any group ticket buying effort.
 
Based on this picture I took when I went to the game last July, Toby Keith's Bar and Grill is the place to be after the game. Apparently.

To help you guys save some money I know NYC12, TR and HoO often do away trips. Maybe meet up with them to save on costs as well?
I can get in touch with them as the date is closer. But that's definitely a game the groups will be looking to do trips for.
 
Let's get as many people up there this year for both matches! While I won't be able to meet up with you guys for the ride coming from Western MA, i'll meet up with you guys for a pre-match tailgate!

And an FYI, parking is free for Revs games!

ME: Hunny, I'll be going to an away game in July.
WIFE: Where, who you going with?
ME: Some guy named Tom I met on the Internet. It's fine, he's renting a van to pick me up in.

(Long silence and she stares at me like I've lost my mind.)
 
I'm interested. Though the midweek especially I won't know until much closer.

I shit you not, while tailgating there last year I saw both an elderly woman crocheting AND a table with a lovely floral centerpiece. Wasn't even the same group of people either. I'm from Northwest NJ and it was still one of the whitest things I've ever seen.

TL;DR Very relaxed parking lot atmosphere
 
For those of you on here that plan to head up to Foxboro for this group thing, do you guys intend on going with TR tickers, or do you want to sit as a group independently? TR will likely have some sort of discount, but will also most likely be put out in an isolated area and i'm not sure what type of procedures they have for visiting supporters. If we can get 20 people to commit to either game, I would be willing to purchase tickets on behalf of the group. Group tickets for the section behind the NYCFC bench would be $26.

Either way, I mainly just wanted to bump this thread to remind people that Foxboro is SO CLOSE, it's an easy chance to give our club some road support.
