Home game vs Houston being moved to Hartford, CT

I don't have issues with Yankee stadium other that its not a soccer stadium and the Yankees own the place do what they want. My issue is with ownership and their lack of communication.

As far as the NIMBY issue you want a stadium work with the local community and you will have to spend money on local infrastructure as a give back but all owners want the state and local government to pay for it. If CFG really wants a stadium then pay for it and get the community involved.

maybe but i still think not every local councilman/woman or whatever wants a stadium for their community. i mean nycfc has been lobbying over 1 million and nothing is getting thru. its not all about money.

It's a financial hit and an embarrassment to the club and the league, and it highlights that we need to stop sharing with the Yankees. This is an unavoidable inevitability of our situation and would most likely have popped up sooner if we didn't shart out of the USOC every year. I do see the wisdom of not demonstrating that we can draw in RBA, and on a Saturday with college sports in season there probably weren't a lot of great options. If it gets the club or the mother ship one iota more interested in a permanent home I can accept it.

I'm calm like a bomb, mother fucker.

We get 2.31 PPG at Home and 1.33 Away.
Houston gets 2.50 PPG at Home and 0.54 Away.

Even allowing that Hartford isn't exactly "Home," we can't agree to play in Houston unless the league absolutely required it or forfeit.

the playing in houston suggestion is absurd. why give them that advantage? even if we dont have an advantage in hartford neither do they.

So here's another one - the baseball postseason schedule was posted on Twitter - obviously there would be potential conflicts if the Yankees went to the World Series.

Game 6 and Game 7 of the ALCS are Friday and Saturday before the final home game against CLB - meaning if the Yankees are in an ALCS that goes the distance, we'll have this same situation AGAIN without enough time to change the field. So your final home game of the regular season (which most likely determines seeding and a potential playoff bye) might be who knows where again. Shameful.

Even if we had decided to play the game at RBA there would still be this same outrage. "what we couldnt find anywhere else to play?"
If the Yankees can play home games at Shea (once for 2 years from '74 to '75 when old OYS was renovated) and in 1998 when old NYS was literally falling apart, we can play a single freaking game in RBA. It would be tough for anyone to hold it against us when we pack the place.

Although I can see why the Red Bull folks would be concerned about giving us the keys to the place given some "incidents" in the past.

If this is true there'd better be a fleet of premium coaches leaving from Midtown and YS.
Apparently that's what they're doing. $10 round trip for season ticket holders, leaving from about eight bar partners and from Yankee Stadium. So, refund of regular ticket, reduced price Hartford ticket, cheap bus tickets. Money-wise it seems a wash, although you'll invest an extra hour or two in transportation time. This definitely sucks, but I'm not utterly horrified by the idea.

But also, fuck the Yankees.

Still like our chances and we'd avoid playing a "home" match 100 miles out of state
