Transportation is available from Penn Station to Hartford. Please be advised that you will need alternate transportation between Hartford Station and Pratt & Whitney Stadium (approximately 4 miles).

Fuckers. Relocate 100+ miles and still can't even bother to set up a shuttle from the train station

I was just thinking about what would have been an awesome idea. I know we always say never NJ but Rutgers is playing Nebraska that weekend. Give free tickets to students at a party school with 1 dollar beers and your guaranteed to have a rocking atmosphere. Also they're actually a FUCKING TRAIN THERE. CFG hire me.

Rutgers is pretty far too, but better than Hartford I guess.

But aren't they in Unuion territory?

This is not a good look I think we are all in agreement on that, but we all knew something like this was going to happen it was just the nature of the arrangement. It's the Yankees building the could flood the field and play water polo on it if they wanted and NYCFC could do nothing about it. That being said RBA was probably never an option and I doubt RB ownership would even entertain the thought. Since we are throwing out ideas why not citi field it grooves with our "pitch" on a diamond thing we are stuck with and is WITHIN THE CITY. People will go it's just the nature of us all being supporters, however I do think that there should be a show of protest during the match from the groups in attendance whether it be a tifo or facing away from the pitch for a certain period of time.

I don't like it, the whole draw of this club for me when it was founded was soccer in the five boroughs, and a regular season match in CT bugs the shit out of me.

The only silver lining I can see is that we are not playing this game at RBA and Hartford is an interesting location for a NYCFC II team. I have a four day weekend, so this is an interesting ponder for me if the wife/baby allow it.
This was my first thought when I saw this. Maybe they're testing the waters for a future NYCII team. I know this won't be of any consolation to you lot but we could see a Hartford City FC USL team in the future.

So in a city where the vast majority use public transportation, they move the game but only give a public transportation option that drops you off four miles from the stadium? Did they also provide a link to the Uber app too?

Be nice to have the right information from the club though Rox, as has been a constant complaint from the start. They have such ill-will with the fanbase from their secrecy that we don't believe them.

There are 10 stadiums/venues closer then this one. Why weren't they selected? What was the conversation with the Yankees - do we even have a seat or is what they say goes.

PS - nice to finally meet you in person last game, I grabbed ya a beer at the dugout.

Great to meet you as well.

All of those things I can't answer fully. I can imagine trying to move tens of thousands of people being incredibly difficult to do though. Let's also not forget that Houston is involved as well. Getting the best combination of seating, amenities, logistic know how, date time and TV scheduling can't be easy.

i wonder if FO gets any strong words from anyone in MLS because of this?

then again nycfc exists because of garbers will to have second team in ny area. he will let alot slide. no way this is allowed with other MLS teams.

As a Western MA supporter, I like this for me, not for the club.

We all know the situation, this sucks, but make the best of it! This is a much better soccer venue than Yankee Stadium. Let's set up a massive forums tailgate for this one!

Sucks that this is not in the city, but I think a unique event (hopefully unique) is something that could be incredibly memorable! At least they are doing the right thing and refunding everyone, without even making them lift a finger. Hopefully most supporters just decide to make a day of this. David Villa goes all out every game, we can take a bus or rent a car for the day!!!!

It's going to be lit. Any forum members that go, PM me. I'll pick out a nice space for tailgating and i'll bring beer for everyone!
