Home - Nycfc V Philadelphia - 04/16

My guess at the lineup:

--------Saunders-------------
----Hernandez--Wingert----
Williams----------------Brovsky--
--------Jacobson--Ballouchy------
Shelton---------------------Grabavoy--
---------Nemec-----Villa-------

Not what I would do, but thats what I think we see from kreis.

Probably although happy too see Shelton start, As happy As I am as a USA supporter too see Mix being called up to play our biggest rival you could say. We're gonna be missing him big time but that means others have to the chance to step up.

Not at all, but Facey is. Doubt he starts though. Ayuk will kill us down that right side again if we don't change up the defense. Brovsky can't handle his pace

3rd DP be a defender please!

I'm right by the entrance to the field for the players and never know anything good to say to the opponents. Any suggestions for the Philly players on Thursday?

It's way too early to say for sure but I'm not sold on Calle at all. If he fills in for Mix on Thursday, I'm scared he'll be launching errant shots from 25-30 yards instead of distributing the ball.

I agree... so many times during the KC games it looked like he was determined to take as many long shots as possible

Hard to say what the terms of his loan are. Wilmington's twitter stated they had seven loanees "for the game today" which makes it sound like they could all be back in NYC already. I know that in England, save for emergency loans, the shortest a loan can be for is one month, but I don't know the rules of US loans.
While getting Hammerhead tickets, the rep said something like "they'll have 3 NYCFC players" - not sure if that means that'll be their minimum at all times - either way, worth noting

I hope we ring their bell

I for one would much rather see Poku get the start. Calle has not shown me enough is his previous appearances to warrant another start. His overall work ethic is subpar at best and he shows zero ability or desire to defend. I recognize that he has talent but maybe he just needs a little more time to get acclimated to the MLS. I like what little I have seen of Poku and I think a month into the season that its time to at least see what he can offer us. No one ahead of him has put their stamp on the holding CM position in any sort of convincing fashion. Lets see what the kid can do. I'm also in favor of giving Tommy Mac a run off the bench. He created two legit chances in ten or so minutes he played against Sporting KC, which is two more chances than some of our midfielders have created all season.

I lined up some work in the Bronx and am going to the game afterwards. Can't wait. We will miss Mix but I think Poku or whoever replaces him will step up and I am going to be there for the first game we play well from start to finish. Its time to start Shelton over Velasquez. The strong second half with Khiry on the field was no coincidence.

I am wondering with the three games in a week if we will see more subs for this match and Portland, or if he will do a full strength for one game and b team for the other.

I think we'll see a major drop. Lots of people trying to unload their tickets

I initially tried to unload them but once I saw the baseline pricing on stubhub I figured I'd use it myself. It's one of the highest points awarded by Cityzens for attendance anyway, so what the hell...

Every time K19 is on the field it's a different game, I just wonder what Kreis is waiting on to give him the start. Maybe we won't see these slow starts to games.
