Hudson River Blue Piece On Yankee Stadium Security

I work at Yankee Stadium and I'm gonna tell you that most of the Securitas employees are cool it's the Supervisors that are assholes and tell them to not let anything slide. Their supervisors are assholes and I dislike pretty much all of them.

Anyone else here can't stand Hudson River Blue? People who run SB Nation blogs should be a fan of the team they're covering.

The Securitas officer that is posted in my section (238) has been great so far - we even chant his name every time he comes down the stairs. The issue is, as you said, supervision...The people that are calling the shots.

Securitas workers are fun as hell (most of them). Then you have your try hards that take the job way too seriously and then of course the asshole supervisors. See them all the time in the stadium trying to tell people what to do. I work in a different department than they do and they're always thinking they hold power over us. I just flash my badge and remind them I'm not Securitas.

Ok, this is total bullshit. I have to say we keep it clean over in 213 due to families being present but enough is enough. I hope you guys give the front office a wave of phone calls complaining about treatment within the stadium. At some point organizing a walk out during the match to show how much this means to the supporters might be worthwhile.

I can't really speak to what happens outside the stadium though. We walk by the rally going on under the tracks but stay to the outside of it just in case something like what was caught on video happens. I want no hassle with the NYPD for anything much less celebrating a win, loss or draw at a football match.

Just to add perspective these is the same Police Force that are having problems with the City's minority communities, and is under the microscope because of recent events.

What perspective did that add? Honest question, not being a dick. I don't see the connection.

How about this hot new chant -
DROP ALL CHARGES (clap ... clap ... clap clap clap)
DROP ALL CHARGES (clap ... clap ... clap clap clap)
DROP ALL CHARGES (clap ... clap ... clap clap clap)
DROP ALL CHARGES (clap ... clap ... clap clap clap)

The cops have big problems, there image isn't great, this isn't helping. Yes they are out of touch in the worst possible ways, but we shouldn't expect they will let up. That being said the pressure needs to be added on them to let up.

The cops and securitas are not making decisions on their own. Someone is giving them orders. Securitas works for the Yankees, thats who is telling them what to do. You all think that the supervisors are deciding policy?
I've said it before and I'll say it again this all goes back to before the season even started. Yankees set a precedent by not allowing flag poles banners drums cursing etc.
this is nothing new. They are just strictly wanting it enforced now.
If it was NYCFC doing it you'd be getting a call from your ticket manager talking about possible suspension and so on.
I'm sure the smoke bombs and streamers are only pissing them off more.
