Four SAVES from EL Gato Saunders been selected to be best of the year, and I can not make up my mind between 3 of them . All have extraordinary merits of their own and the deadline to vote is tomorrow Dec. 19th. 2015. I am thorn between 1, 2 and 3.
for #1 its an fantastic save however I feel there was a bit of luck factor as the ball was headed by Agudello, Saunders stops it with his hands and either he is not able to grab it and as ball falls or slips out of his hands either by excellent reflex , he throws himself down to stop the ball from rolling in, into the net area or he was lucky that as he falls down , his body blocks the ball from rolling in? will voting for me, for this is one is more out nostalgia that it was the home opener of our beloved team?
# 2 Love the " Mano a Mano" with Wright-Phillip (actually this one -on -one , should be feet -on- feet rather than hands both the shot by Phillip and Saunders block were done by the foot.
#4 these 2 saves in one is the reason I call him El Gato Saunders , he is like a big cat, agile, bouncing, jumping, sprinting, springing and swatting with his "paws" the ball out of the net!
Wish I could vote for the 3 of them but only one vote. Which?
Below is the description of the four nominees - to see videos to go to NYCFC website. Tried putting them and could not. Any suggestions?
