Fair point. It’s still a proper game, as it’s in the domestic cup competition, but it is not the same as trotting him out in a Bundesliga match.

Yeah, surprising considering what he did or did not do in his MLS career..... but remember, sometimes bottom-rung teams that are fighting to stay up after promotion will take a flyer on a player who just happens to work out - Lalas played for Padova in Italy, and while Lalas was a good /great aerial CB, he was atrocious in just about every other way, and yet an Italian team wanted him (probably for the marketing value).
Good for Khiry for taking his opportunity and making something of it. And once again, a former maligned NYCFC player shines after their exit.
I'm watching Khiry Shelton taking on Bayern Munich right now on FS1. Crazy.

So crazy to think about how pissed we were we ended up with him instead of Cyle Larin, and that was the right take based on MLS production. But look at them both now.
Didn’t do much. But wasn’t passing backwards. So that’s an improvement compared to MLS.
