Yep! Two years in Miami ($1M total) is equivalent to nearly 14 years in MLS at his current salary. It's tough to imagine being in the league 14 years and still making $67K, but Ballouchy is unfortunately a good example of a seasoned journeyman (10 years) not making a ton (his went up and then back down over the years):I almost felt that way, but I am really happy for his raise.
I mean we were holding him hostage at $67k a year and 10 minutes of play every few matches. Sure he could have tactically adjusted to PV's system and that would have been nice, but his raw talent was well above his NYCFC pay grade. I'll miss him, but that was a much needed raise. Not sure what his wife does for work - but $67k is not a lot of money to raise a family on in NYC and take care of your family back home. I will still wear my jersey proudly - he was a really awesome triple exclamation point on our first season.

Yes and I'm pretty sure we even looked up the median wages for RNs in NY and it's higher than his salary was, depending one her specifics such as experience etc.I remember reading somewhere that she is a nurse.
I would go to that. Maybe we can get a whole section of us there wearing NYCFC jerseys.Well, now I can finally see a reason to go to a Cosmos game. It looks like Miami is up here in October. Would be fun to go see him run rampant again.

Indeed. Based on my usual drive time home from YS, you could probably just make it, particularly if they start a little after 7.We play at 4 PM against Columbia in the final game of the season. MLS, NASL doubleheader.
I now feel better, thanks to your explanation Our loss, but Poku gains.I almost felt that way, but I am really happy for his raise.

No goals in his first game, but apparently had several dangerous runs.
Wish he would've done this in the cup...Poku scores in Miami FC's loss to the cosmos

Go to 1:40 to see the goal. Nice finish, but an even better pass.
Didn't realize he changed his number from 88 to 10.
OK, now I want a Poku #10 Miami FC jersey. Darn it.
