Kwadwo Poku [Midfielder]

Having gone through the birth of two children, I would certainly say that this isn't likely to be helpful to any fitness issues!

Congrats to him. Its nice to see him showing some initiative getting our youth academy stocked by any means necessary.

on a side note; Isn't there some statistics that show after the birth of a baby the father's form improves drastically. I think on this premise alone he is due to start the next 5 games.

Where have you been???? We need you on the field, probably could've saved us the Montreal lost.

I think he and that teacher were the best part of the second jersey reveal video. My Andrea didn't look so enthused to be apart of that.

Every time someone starts up this thread my heart starts racing and fearing for the worst (trade)

And now his watch has ended.

I'm saddened by this. Poku has got attributes that the rest of our midfield don't have, namely power, pace and strength combined.
He doesn't seem to be given the time to be nurtured, coached, or chance to prove himself.
This may bite us on the ass :(

I almost felt that way, but I am really happy for his raise.

I mean we were holding him hostage at $67k a year and 10 minutes of play every few matches. Sure he could have tactically adjusted to PV's system and that would have been nice, but his raw talent was well above his NYCFC pay grade. I'll miss him, but that was a much needed raise. Not sure what his wife does for work - but $67k is not a lot of money to raise a family on in NYC and take care of your family back home. I will still wear my jersey proudly - he was a really awesome triple exclamation point on our first season.
