Letter To Cfg And Nycfc

This is my first post on here (I mainly just read what is posted to get info) but since I find some of your posts to be totally inaccurate I feel the need to correct the problem. First, I am a TR member, but only joined to be able to buy seats in the section. I don't feel any particular allegiance to the group such that I wouldn't be able to criticize it (eg. the smokebomb issue is stupid. I can't believe that people insist on setting things off in violation of the stadium rules, NYS laws and, from what I have read MLS rules, and then complain when they are taken out, just dumb). Though I will say I think Rox is doing a much better job than the guys who ran the group in the start of the season.

With all that said, I was about 10 feet from the altercation at the top of the stairs. I left the bleachers after the go-ahead goal out of frustration with the team (and to be able to get to the exit quickly), but couldn't pull the trigger and actually leave (I'm a sucker I know). I was standing at the top of the bleachers, to the right of the stairs between sections 236 & 237. Shortly after I got up there a commotion started down in the supporter's section. At some point, one individual seemed to be escorted out by security and was yelling back towards the section (I wasn't paying close attention at this point because I was still watching the game, and it was a run of the mill fan ejection). Then more security and NYPD quickly went down into the supporter's section and returned carrying the individual in the video and and an older gentleman wearing black. Now, I want to be clear that I didn't see what these guys did to get kicked out (and full disclosure I have seen the older gentleman act inappropriately on numerous occasions, including cursing at Securitas employees, so if I had to guess these guys did something that warranted an ejection). When they got to the top of the stairs, the NYPD and Securitas individuals put the kid in the video on the ground (they didn't slam him to the ground, but didn't exactly gently place him there either). He was laying on the ground on his back and looked to be trying to sit up when he DEFINITELY got tasered (you mention the noise, I heard that from where I was standing). Now the concerning issue to me isn't the ejection, its really the use of the taser. Having seen the moments immediately leading up to the use of the taser (though not the beginning of the altercation), the kid wasnt trying to fight the police or escape. He was really just trying to sit up.

So I take issue with saying the taser wasnt used. It definitely was. I tend to agree that we are guests in Yankee Stadium and should act accordingly, but in this instance I think the NYPD acted inappropriately in using the taser. There was no need for it.

NO taser was used...FACT. Stop it already and drop this nonsense before the TR gets embarrassed even more.

I'm not saying for sure one way or the other, but you're going to have to provide more if you really want people to think this way.

This guy gives what appears to be a first-hand account, whereas your proof is you think you know that the particular taser you see in the video is louder and should be able to be heard on the video, and that you know some people who said it wasn't used.

My proof is a lot more than the video sir - I don't need to provide anything else. It's up to those guys to prove that a 2 second crap video of someone resisting arrest can be spun into some innocent kid being tasered by the oppressive cops.

The truth of what actually happened will come out soon, but the die hard crazies still won't believe, so why bother. It's childish and self serving to write a public letter looking for pity. Stop throwing your toys and cheer like the 28,000 other fans that don't cause trouble.

Just out of curiosity, who are you and what are you doing here? Serious question. First off, this is not a Third Rail forum, and the site has no connection with the Third Rail other than that some here happen to be members. Secondly, you've only started posting here about this one issue, and those posts are pretty much all of the "na, na, isn't true" variety. I was at the front of 237 at the time so didn't see anything, but it seems there were witnesses who saw and heard a taser being used. You can yell at us all you want but there's a video of a cop standing over the person while holding a taser, and people who say they saw and heard it being used.

I have no skin in this game as I wasn't there and didn't see it, but it just sounds like you're a shill for Securitas, the Yankees, the NYPD, or the NYCFC front office or something. It doesn't matter how many times you all-cap the word "fact" in your posts. Without presenting some sort of reason for saying it or some evidence to back it up nobody is going to give you much credence, especially after only nine posts.

This is worse than the fake "fans" who work for the shirt sellers. At least we knew what their agenda was.

You're a great addition to this forum... you're enlightenment and reasoning are exactly what has been missing. More importantly what are you thoughts on Frank Lampard?

Frank who?

Just messing...gotta seriously give him some time. I understand why people are mad with all the Man City loan nonsense, but the guy is a legend and will pay off. Hopefully next year.

Direct your letters to that shit back line we have. Probably going to need to be rebuilt since Angelino and Facey will probably not return and Iraola is a donkey.

And I sit in section 216...cheers

I'm a fan like anyone else, and I have always been here looking for info about the team, where the new stadium might be, etc. But when I saw this stupid letter, I felt the urge to speak up. Sorry if it ruffled your feathers that I broke some unwritten rule with my lowly 9 posts. There's two sides to a story and just wanted to present the other side that is all.

No ruffled feathers, at least not here. Just wanted to know where you're coming from. And it's not that there's any rule on how many posts you make, it's just that we don't know who you are as you've not (yet) made a fool of yourself on here the way all the rest of us have.

And honestly, your post about Frank and our back line made me relax about this a good bit. I have no problem with people coming on here and voicing opinions, regardless of whether I agree or not. I don't really like those fake, single-purpose shill accounts though, but as it seems like you're "just another fan" that's fine.

My points still stand though as I'd definitely like to know why you're so certain about this whole taser thing, but if it's as you say and the facts come out in due time I have no problem with that.

I am certainly not representing the TR here in any capacity, so nothing I say should embarrass them. Also I thought I was pretty clear that I don't think the individual in the video was innocent, insofar as I think he probably did something to deserve to be kicked out. My only problem is that from the entire interaction I saw, the use of a taser was inappropriate. However, if you disagree one was even used then I guess we don't even get to that point.

No worries at all and I totally understand your opinion. Definitely not a shill account lol.

The only thing I'll argue more about than the above topic is Kreis...but I won't even go there.

Same here. I simply want to know. I'm definitely pro NYPD. I have 2 family members that are on the job and one that just retired. I definitely see the other side of the coin. My youngest wants to sit in the bleachers next season but I want to be sure it's appropriate for him before I renew. I won't sit there if it's not safe for my boys. I'm sure every thing will be sorted out.

In my opinion its more than safe to sit in the bleachers (saying this as someone who thinks the individual was tasered and that it was inappropriate). But generally Ragga is correct. If you act normal, and don't give security/NYPD a reason to kick you out, its been my experience that they treat you very well and its a blast. I, personally, have never seen security/NYPD indiscriminately kick people out or give random people a hard time. Even the supporters are pretty benign. Having been in the bleachers for every home game, not once did I ever feel unsafe. As long as you are ok with your kids hearing curse words I wouldnt worry about anything.

Forgive me if I would rather believe a video showing a cop pointing a taser at an individual, the individual screaming, and the individual clutching his chest/stomach area as well as 2 first-hand accounts of people who witnessed this individual being tasered over one person saying he knows some people who say he wasn't tasered.

And agreed, the truth will come out, and hopefully soon. And believe me, I'm absolutely sick of those who sit in my section causing trouble all the time. Its annoying, its selfish, and outright childish.

I'm a member of the TR who was looking to have fun singing, standing, and drinking all game long while supporting my club. I have not been a fan at all of what has transpired throughout the group over this season, but am hoping bad apples are weeded out, there becomes a bit more organization, and we turn things around.

Some of the childishness I've seen displayed on social media by some of our fans blows my mind (the blowup doll at NJRB, the blow up penis at a home game, stomping on Red Bulls jerseys, the continuous smoke-bombs, etc.).

I just have no reason right now to believe that this individual was not tasered based on what I have seen and read so far.

Generally it is safe to sit in the bleachers. My son likes it over in 235 near 236 because it is away from the drama. Most of the people in the area are great people who just want to enjoy themselves.
