The Cosmos were "kicked" out of Hofstra a "couple" of years ago. NYCFC PDL affiliate take their place.

With the demise of the Cosmos, NYCFC should just set up a USL team on LI under the RoughRiders name. It’s a great brand, we need a USL team, there is a market for it out there. Maybe makes too much sense.

Not to my knowledge.

We really need our own club at that level - especially as the academy kids become ready to perform. The clubs that are killing it with their homegrown kids all have good USL teams where those kids grow up. We need our academy to be doing the same for us.

Absolutely agreed. But it made just as much sense last year, too. USL remains a big missing piece and I’m wondering when the club will move on it. We’ve heard 2019 or 2020 mentioned here and there, but no real commitment.
