Do you think television companies and radio companies should censor their media? (whether it be by regultion or morality)

personally, i think there should be no censorship with media. all the cursing and tits should be allowed. if parents are afraid of their children picking it up, then as a parent, monitor the shows and tell the children "dont watch that..."

Depends.

If they report things on a case that's still on-going and threaten someone's life or help a piece of shit get away in the process, do you support that?

Also, you don't know what's on the news until you watch it yourself. You can't monitor the TV 24/7 with your child. They just have more time. Do they really need to see people's heads blown to bits from a suicide or a war? No. However, I wouldn't mind them putting that stuff on their websites as that's a little easier to have control over.

Tits and ass should be totally legal. I remember as a young teen turning on channel 63 or maybe it was actually 69? Sixty something, and it was the porn channel, it was "scrambled", but you could still see what was going on pretty damn well. You could hear it every couple of seconds, too.

(This was the age of dial-up so there was no porn videos really to be had on the internet, yet. )

We survived a-ok. Hell, probably better off for it.

If my kid (i dont have one but hypotheticalllly) witnesses a mass murder on tv complete with a rape scene and cursing, i cant complain to the station. I could only blame myself for not stopping the kid from watching it. Until hes old enough (8 or 10) to understand whats going on, then i would simply say "you cant watch cnn"

It depends upon society. In the US, violence is okay, nudity isn't. In much of Europe it's the other way around. That's not to say that you can't watch violent content, because of course you can, it's just generally at a higher rating than in the States.

An example. Clooney's 'Up In The Air'. It contains swearing and sex scenes. In the US it was a R, in the UK it was a 15, in Germany it was a 0, meaning 'no rating'. In fact swearing is not considered swearing in Germany, it is considered as just words. I have heard the word "shit" on kids TV before now.

As for the news, it should be shown uncensored where there is a real reason for it to be shown (say the Bostom bombing), but they generally give a warning prior to showing images or video.
