I was torn personally. I'm a "take it to the corner" kind of guy, but we had a pretty solid advantage there.

Proud of the guys for recovering from the Perea injury and getting it done. Hopefully it can be some sort of rallying moment for the team to lock in.

The broadcast says Charlotte had 2.43 xG on only 1 SOG. And that we had only 0.90 xG on 7 SOG.

Seems hard to believe their xG was that high, but keeping Charlotte to only 1 SOG is incredible.

The more I see the first goal, the more I love it. I didn't realize it at first but Ream effectively cut off the pass to Alonso very well and they played Nico into a tough angle. They really couldn't have defended that breakaway more perfectly, which makes the goal even sweeter!

They had 16 shots. 11 were from inside our box. Generating 2.4 xG from that is pretty normal. We had 8 blocks. Most of the shots that were blocked were from inside the box and would have been on goal but for the bocks. Our back line were heroes tonight.

More xG. FOTMOB has us at 1.19 xG. We had 3 shots inside the box. Their combined xG was 1.02. They all went in. All our other shots combined were 0.17 xG. Transition play is so powerful.

I haven't been a fan of his contract, but Thiago is a great soldier for this Club. And he's become a real stalwart on the backline. He's the beating heart of this team.

I recall a championship season where we had a young home grown player play and win 4 or 5 games before walking away with the cup. Could happen again
