Can we get a mod ( LionNYC ?) to change the title of this thread? I'm happy to be that guy -- doesn't seem like an inviting title for the women on this board.
This made me chuckle because I don't think there are many women on this board. Partially because of the kinda thing you're talking about, perhaps. But still. It is sausage central in here. Can we get a mod ( LionNYC ?) to change the title of this thread? I'm happy to be that guy -- doesn't seem like an inviting title for the women on this board.
Women are way too busy with dishes, laundry, grocery shopping and making me dinner to be spending time on an internet message board. This made me chuckle because I don't think there are many women on this board. I'm torn on this and appreciate your intent, but in an ideal world I feel like men and women would freely sexually objectify each other. I understand that it's easier to welcome objectification when one enjoys the privilege of mostly not being objectified, and that a lot of women don't enjoy that privilege. But I also question whether not objectifying a person sexually makes one more likely to conceive of them as a fully-formed person. In other words, I think it would be better if instead of censoring ourselves (subtracting parts of what we think from what we say), we broadened how we think (and talk) about individuals. Can we get a mod ( LionNYC ?) to change the title of this thread? ETA: feel free to objectify me sexually on this board.
Feel free to tear me apart (sexually or intellectually, lol). I figure you learn 0% about the opinions you don't voice. Which is why I worry so much about the censorship / tone policing / what-have-you going on today.Dude, you are so loose with your intellectual pondering
