Midfield upper deck tickets on sale at Ticketmaster @ $15 a pop.
That's the price of a Yankee Stadium beer, innit?

Great. Let the big crowd come. We need to spoil their good time.
Brings to mind this old Joakim Noah quote about being the visiting team.

"We’re like the cops. The college students are having a party, and we’re gonna bust it. No more kegs, no more keg stands, we’re taking everything away, no more party."

Per Cushing, everyone is healthy for the match tomorrow except Maxi.

Ojeda is available, Mijatovic and Tanasijevic still have some visa items to get worked out. Didn't seem like he completely ruled them out, but sounds more likely than not that they won't be available for Saturday.

Weird that Ojeda didn't arrive until his visa cleared while the other 2 showed up, participated in camp, but cannot play. Wondering if Ojeda had trouble even getting an entry visa but got the work visa at the same time, and the others could enter, but no work visa. And wasn't preseason work anyway?

This whole foreign player visa thing just gets more mysterious every year.

TL;DR: Weird stuff happens in MLS.

I wonder if, because of US politics, it's harder to get a visa from a South American country than it is from Europe.

I suspect Mijatovic would have been on the bench behind Bakrar anyway.

Yeah, I think the only new attacker we have a chance of seeing in the starting lineup is Wolf. Either for Fernandez if he's still limited due to the injury that kept him out of some preseason games or for Magno if Wolf outplayed him in camp and is better suited to our renewed focus on the Press that Lee and Cushing keep emphasizing.

This is going to be the earliest regular season game in NYCFC history. 2022 was the first time NYCFC played an MLS game in February, on 2/27. Last year it was 2/25, with a 2 day jump because of a Sunday --> Saturday switch. If they stay on pattern and keep to Saturdays, next year will be 2/22 jumping 2 days for Leap Year, and in 2026 probably reset the week to 2/28.

It does feel way too early to start a summer sport, and might be why there's so little buzz for the start of the MLS season. That said, I am excited to see this team in action.
