and Atlanta didn’t score a single goal this week so Thiago’s goal has a chance of winning goal of the week!
Lol, Seattle scored twice. He has no chance. One was a screamer, the other had a nice build up. Reason enough for Seattle fans to vote for whichever gets nominated.
Face it. Villa's midfield goal came in second to a pretty basic banger by somebody on Montreal. I said Montreal.

I can stop dreaming that they sign Mbappe

I also liked A WHOLE LOT what we saw from Santi Rodriguez. He had a lot of fight in him, and he seemed to think fast and creatively.

Magno is talented but not fast. He did OK, but has now officially become the less exciting of our recent Brazilian signings

Why are we still having Gudi as a starter? If Tinnerholm is off, like today, that basically means you cannot stretch the field with any speed and we're back to endless lateral passes and then a very telegraphed cross.

Cacha was solid again. Chanot showing his age. Maxi barely OK, and Morales a bit disappointing.

I’ve been wondering if anyone has appreciation for Cacha. I think he’s played with a lot of toughness defensively and continues to show off good passing skills. Feel like I’m in a fan club if one...

Tinnerholm has been kind of underwhelming.
I’ve been feeling the same way about SJ but props to him on the assist tonight.

Thiago is a bit of a revelation. I’ve been dying to see this team add someone with pace.

I agree, Santi looked good in limited time.
Didn’t get much of a feel for Magno.

There was a point tonight where I was like, “oh yeah, Morales is on the pitch.”

Confession: I trashed Parks aerial game to my friend today so of course... Kudos to you Big Bird. Keaton, feel like he’s been better last two games.

There seem to be a lot of pieces for Ronny to work with.

I’d like to see Them get Taty in positions to use that cannon of a foot he’s shown before.

I’d also like to see T. Gray in the starting XI again.

Andrade's goal reminded me of something and I had to sleep on it to realize what it was. Different sport. Similar run. This probably does not delight anyone else as much as it does me, but ....

As a life long Vikings fan this is very much appreciated.

I watched the game with the same people I watched the Minneapolis Miracle. I know who I’m inviting to the MLS Cup

(if and when…life long Vikings fan caveats must apply)

And props to SJ for the assist. He could have played it safe and secured the point after we almost blew it. And his vision and precision were key to starting the play.
Great effort for him to get that out quickly. Kinda reminded me of (though the actual throws were pretty different), Tim Howard's effort to quickly distribute the ball on the buildup that led to the LD goal against Algeria.

He's been pretty decent with his throwing distribution. I just clipped a play from the Atlanta game where he hit Gudi in mid-stride right around midfield with a long throw.

5. Gudi, why is he still in the starting XI? Kept passing it into their players.

I was really surprised he wasn't subbed off at the half. He was having a rough go of it, we have the 5 subs and he seemed to pick up a knock early on. He was rubbing his knee quite often the rest of the game. Not sure what happened there.

He also just doesn't seem to quite understand how space is created. In one of the first half buildups, he had the ball at the top of the box during a counter and instead of allowing Tajouri-Shradi to run by and drag a defender out of the way, or play him in behind, he passed the ball to him too early and ITS ended up with two defenders closing down on him. Somehow the ball still ended up at Taty's feet for a good chance (and perhaps a better one than we would have gotten) but it still wasn't a smart play.

6. Parks should have started. 'Nuff said.

The Parks/Cacha combination the last couple of games has been lights out.

Even with the Parks goal, I was not happy with the pending result and was ready to ding Johnson for yet another game where we conceded far beyond the other team's shot value. Then in 20 seconds he blocks a close range shot, bosses the box to grab the second cross, and started the break.
Both teams took their highest percentage shots of the game in that sequence at game's end. Arriola was stopped; Andrade wasn't.

That was one of the best feelings seeing Thiago just rush down the field and score the winning goal in the closing moments, so happy I got to see it live. The atmosphere was decent in the first half, died in the early stages of the 2nd, and then awoke again in the final 10 minutes or so from my POV. I'm going to say the humidity was a big factor in the lack of noise from the 46' to about 80' in the game.

I feel Chanot is at fault for the goal against, giving their attacker way too much space and allowing him to make a move and fire it in past Johnson. I'd like to see a combo of Sands and Callens once Callens is back. I may get some flak for this, but I'm starting a Chanot out train as his major errors tend to be happening more and more. He should've applied more pressure or forced their attacker into a worse position. At least get beaten by a decent move/fake if you're going to give up a goal, don't allow their guy to walk down the box and blast a shot without even getting a minor amount of pressure.

Taty is on a cold streak right now, but I still love that he's making the runs to split the defense and draw them out of position. Obviously his finishing mindset is just missing as he ends up in a great spot and seems to have a brain fart at the worst moment. I'd like to see him with Thiago on the wing instead of Medina. Was Medina subbed due to an injury or was it due to his doing absolutely nothing?

Talles I think will need some more time, as he looks like a player just coming off a major injury, which he is. Santi looked bright taking on the DC defenders and playing some good 1-2s in the final 3rd. Almost had an assist if he could've gotten a final ball through.

I was lucky and actually had a friend invite me to one of the suites, as they had an extra pass/ticket they had gotten through their rep (who also happens to be my rep). I believe the suite was also filled with other season ticket holders as there were little groups of 2-3 people scattered about. The suite was a typical layout, nothing too fancy but nice and simple. Chicken fingers were soft and chewy, but I may have waited too long as they had been sitting on the hot plate for an extended period of time when I ate them. Spoke with some of the reps and found out the Billy's chaos regarding the season ticket bonus card pickup (food/merch money) was due to the Yankees not allowing them to setup a table within Yankee Stadium itself.

Too bad callens got injured in the last game...

Yeah, the fact that Gudi was on in the second half shocked me. I was sure he would be off. Cacha also wasn't too impressive until Keaton came on imo though.
