I knew this would not be convincing for many but I would just add how many other teams earned 13 points in 5 games with a man advantage? Maybe I’m placing too much emphasis against that kind of advantage. Someone else may have the stats on that.

There were 60 red cards in the league last year, or 2.5 per team. So having 5 called against your opponents is probably on the high side.
Still, some of that is likely because we were a good team that other clubs struggled to defend. Just like in basketball where the better teams tend to get fouled more often.
And besides, if you take the 13 points and 5 games out of our results, our points per game drops from 1.88 to 1.76. You know what 1.76 PPG got you last year? Second place in the league and first place in the East.
Also, we only suffered one red card last season. Anyone remember who?

We beat a team we were supposed to in the Champions League...then nothing else.
Dome left not because there was a better opportunity but just because he didn't want to deal with CFG and MLS bullshit. There are systematic problems in this club and it's not going to get better for a while.

Systemic problems that give us the last four regular seasons of:

I know we're 0-4-0 this year, and it sucks. I get it. But let's not all lose our collective minds. We have been one of the most successful teams in the East over the last 4 years. There are very few teams in the entire league that wouldn't sign up for our success over the last four seasons.
Here’s the thing - the Orlando loss is a lot more concerning.
lose 1-0 on the road in Columbus after playing the entire game a man down? Understood.
lose late in Toronto (to a team that basically has had our number the last three years)? Understood.
statistically outplay Philly and get beaten on a soft goal (and because their keeper has a heck of a day)? Understood.
Look completely inept for 30 minutes against a middling Orlando team and give up two goals to inexplicable ball watching? A good team can have moments where they are down but they come back to get a result. LAFC was down 3-1 and doesn’t give up a backbreaking goal on a sloppy counter to end the game when they are coming back.
what is concerning is the absolute shitshow in the back (and looking like traffic cones when ORL has the ball). Not finishing? That can be explained through rust and practice. Not looking like you have no idea how to defend.

I agree with everything in this post. This game was the first concerning game we've played this season. All the other games, we really have had a difficult start to the season, and that doesn't even take fixture congestion related to CCL into the conversation.
if all was going so great behind the scenes why did our GM and coach both quit and we had to find a manager last minute off the scrap heap.
can we try that guy that managed the man city women? He seemed to know what he was doing.

I'm not saying everything is great behind the scenes because I don't have any information one way or the other and have no idea whether it is or isn't great. What I am saying is that our team has been one of the most consistently successful regular-season teams in the league since 2016. Things have been pretty good here. We're not Chicago, we're not Orlando, we're not Vancouver, we're not San Jose, we're not Houston, we're not a lot of other teams. We are in line with Toronto, Atlanta, LAFC, Seattle, Portland, Sporting KC, and have been one of the best teams in the league over the last few years. An 0-4 start doesn't change that.
And to be honest, our run of success gives me lots of evidence that there are not systemic problems here. The playoffs are a crapshoot and who knows why we haven't succeeded there. But I'll put our last four seasons against almost anyone else's.
That's about the level of our players compared to other teams in the Eastern Conference that has been weak except for Atlanta, Toronto, and Red Bulls.
We need Dome back.

Did these players magically show up on our roster with no execution from the front office? The fact the organization was able to get this group of players together in such a short period of time is a testament to how well the sporting side of the operation works.

That may be so. But the fact of the matter is that we just don't have enough information yet. Ronny has struggled, but Dome struggled for 20 games and ended up being a great coach for us. Making rash judgements after seven games of a stop-and-start pandemic-impacted season where the players have yet to play a game with full match fitness and sharpness seems to me to be the wrong course of action.
You keep saying that as though it is a conceivable option. He just left, citing frustration with management/ ownership. Do you know something we don't?

Two things can be true: Ronny hasn't done a good job so far, and the players are struggling. We should also note that over the last couple years, this team has been a historically slow starting team. Ronny isn't the only one who deserves blame for our current predicament.
Heber came in out of shape, Maxi has been a ghost, Ring has been underwhelming ... some of our biggest players have been some of the biggest offenders so far.
Basically what I've been saying, too. It's not necessarily a bad thing, as that still means we can end top of the east if we have consistency with Deila once they catch on. Maybe not this year, but we'll definitely make the playoffs if they catch on.
I say this knowing that I'm the same type of character - slow starter. When I start learning something I need more time to learn it, but once I know it, it's "full steam ahead". Give it some time, I'm a full supporter of giving Deila the season.
Do I know something everyone else doesn't? No.
But Man City has their Champions League ruling, Pep is staying, van Brockhorst is off the table, so things are a bit more stable now for CFG.
