Most average Americans might know Mix and his flowing locks from WC coverage (even though he didn't play). Not sure Villa, for all his wonderful accomplishments, has anything like that in the US. Spainish national team and Athletico/Barca don't get regular evening news coverage that the USMNT does during the WC.

I know a few people who don't pay much attention to soccer mention to me that they know Mix, but don't know any body else on the team.
