NYCFC Academy - General Discussion

Or someone from CFG currently has the job, but doesn't have a green card and wants one. And this is the process to get them one. Idk, could be any of the above, including interviewing outside for a candidate. I was just saying it doesn't necessarily mean they are interviewing.

true....i also find it kinda weird that it was on indeed....I always assume these things with sports is all internally done.

i do find interesting all the tasks involved with the job

That could be the tipoff it's Labor Cert.

Just browsing academy players and came across him in the Class of 2019 rankings. He had an NYCFC photo with Red Bulls as his club. Traitor?

This is a very odd case -- well known among youth soccer people in the area.

His dad is the Head of Met Oval and has used his connections to whip the boy around. He got him on the NYCFC team by helping them secure fields in NYC and then jumped ship when he wasn't getting enough playing time.

It's very odd -- there are many who say he is mediocre and only plays where he does because of his dad, but then you look at his stats and wonder how that could be possible.

By the way -- S% is "start percentage" not shot percentage. The Academy mandates that every player start 20% of the games the team plays, adjusting for injury.

He's good, or at least he was a few years ago when my son was at met oval. (My son's a year younger.)

He's going to be the face of Adidas during the World Cup. How cool is that?
