Kreis's game plan: Piss off Toronto. Still salty that we didn't beat the Cosmos and that we're out of the U.S. Open Cup but this is a great way to overcome that feeling. Keep it going City.
Saunders is my man of the match. Jason Kreis gets all the credit for this win. After a midweek match that went into extra time we went on the road and got a clean sheet against a tough opponent.
Ugly as heck but we'll take it. Felt like I was watching Montreal beat the cream of CONCACAF - clog the box and force your opponent to make low percentage crosses and corners. Happy to see our defense is up to the task, even if they were a little thuggish at times. Really hope I can make it July 12.
Yes, Villa scored our goals, but for me Shay Facey is MOTM. We likely would have lost this match in the first half except for how on point he and Saunders were.

I wanna say that it feels a little lucky to win that one, but I don't think that is fair to the defense. I thought the whole defense was solid, did well on Giovinco and the other attackers, and midfield did well with handling Michael Bradley. As previously stated Facey has been incredible, and RJ Allen had his best match at the right time.

Our central defense was rock solid tonight, it's crazy how even though they were in our third most of the game, they didn't have that many legit chances.

I love how Toronto's players, coach, and commentators were constantly pushing the narrative of how dirty we were playing and how much we were fouling them, and yet they had 18 fouls to our 16.
The MLS table is garbage for months. Look at all the discrepancies in Games Played... they've gotta straighten that shit out. It's one thing for a couple of teams to have a game in hand, but the GP differences are silly in a lot of cases right now.
The magic scarf is 3-0-0. I should have worn it to the Cosmos game. But it's making it's second appearance at Yankee Stadium next week.
I didn't see it mentioned on this thread, but not only did NJ lose to Vancouver tonight 2-1, BWP blew 2 penalty kicks.
My buddy who's a huge NJRB fan told me and I couldn't help but pick on him a bit haha
