NYCFC twitter just confirmed the trade from Vancouver and the trade to an unnamed international team.
its weird. i mean cant vancouver just transfer him themselves to the foreign club. I kinda hope he doesnt go to tigres, team is already stacked and may not get playing time. on the flip side they are in the copa libertadores and may get minutes since Tuca LOVES to play bench players in any international tournament he is in.
Xolos may be more believable.

Reading a story from MLS, there is a transfer freeze for all clubs this year until after the expansion draft. Only the expansion teams can transfer players, so they needed NYC to do the deal.
Transfer Freeze? thats new to me, thanks for that. Its like everyday i learn there is a new rule regarding trading players in the MLS.

That's my understanding. Maybe a agreement to not pick Vancouver players in expansion draft.
we give Vancouver some "future considerations" in order to help facilitate their trade to a forign team and we get a few bucks back from the transfer fee for our trouble? I wonder if the future considerations are not picking their players in the exp draft?
