Oh god, imagine if there is matching shorts?
This will look like a shit stain if it is paired with dark blue and orange shorts. Please for the love of god give us contrasting shorts.
I think the shorts are there already. I assume they're the dark blue ones with light blue stripes since they're positioned under the away jersey.
I don't think it looks that bad. It's definitely different but some of my favorite jerseys were different and weird when they were first revealed but given time I started to love them.
i like the color. I am partial to gaudy colors. While that orange isnt the most gaudy its will do for me. Don't love the circles but i think its better then those odd strips on last years kit, assuming they are just dyed fabric and not plastic rings.
The swirls make it look like we are going down the drain.
People on this forum are funny. Last year everyone complained about the boring/uncreative home kit. Then everyone complained about not having enough orange. Now we get this jersey that is anything but boring and features a lot of orange. And everyone loses it haha
I think I like it. And I've been against orange from day one. Like others have said, waiting until I see the authentic version in action with someone actually wearing it.

Not at all what I remember. Opinions on both jerseys were mixed, with passionate fans and detractors for both. There was an 11-page thread on the topic of making the Away jersey the only ones fans would wear. Not everyone agreed, but there was a substantial number of people in favor. For everyone who thought the Away jersey needed more orange, there was another fan who thought that was unnecessary but the Home jersey needed some orange. I'm one, and I've no idea if that's a majority position but it's hardly an insignificant percentage for sure. I'm sure the people who wanted more orange on the Away are happy (tho they still might not like those circles).
All true but in the end the black away Jersey clearly out numbered the light blue home jersey by a large margin at all games even when the team rarely wore the black jersey. They intentionally chose a city replica for the primary jersey as a branding move and it backfired.
I wonder if any part of the circles and the more aggressive design of the new jersey is a move to push more fans towards the light blue primary. I know I sound like a conspiracy theory but it has some logic. Main stream fans typically buy the primary but last year it back fired, so release a secondary this year that's too aggressive for the more conservative adult fans and they can either wear the year old Black kit and be out of date or convert to the light blue one.
I will happily be out of date then...... wouldn't be the first time either!!!

This is an embarrassment. You had a simple, beautiful concept: navy blue with orange accents, maybe even the light blue accents. And yet NYCFC and Adidas decide to make a ripple effect on the kit like they're playing with some Powerpoint effects from 1995. This is the second year with an absolute travesty of an away kit (And yes, I'm straight up saying the black kit with its 5 random stripes and random orange V was awful). If this was a third kit, then fine, but our only away kit? I cannot wait for the Adidas contract with MLS to end.
