I merged your post from the other Expansion Draft thread. I felt that the /r/mls mock draft was a large enough topic that it could sustain itself as a dedicated thread.

I'm not aware of the expansion draft being televised, though I'm pretty sure the SuperDraft is.

Expansion draft is usually on MLSsoccer.com streamed. So you should all be able to behold it in all its glory.

Are those who wern't picked up from Chivas in the dispersal draft included in the expansion draft?

No they will be available either in the Wavier Draft or Re-Entry Draft, depending on their contract status.

Just my opinion on this reddit mock draft list; several of these players won't be unprotected.
- CJ Sapong just had his options picked up by SKC, so they will probably protect him.
- Mike Magee will stay in Chicago. Also he is a big salary, Kreis/Renya will want to avoid that.
- Johnson is pretty important to Portland, I think he stays and is protected
- White has been a starter for Philly, not sure he is left unprotected.

But definitely agree with your list. These players could help NYCFC.

Don't forget that we can negotiate contracts. Since this is MLS, we have no idea exactly how that works, but it is possible we could pick up a high cost player who knows they will be cut by their club by agreeing to a lower figure prior to the draft. I think.
It seems that gives us a negotiating advantage that other clubs don't have.

That is true. But I doubt Magee would be amendable to a 50% reduction which is what he is probably worth.

Actually, when we were looking at implementing the counter, we didn't find the time it's going to start. We therefore improvised as midday EST. When we hear more info, the counter will be corrected (maybe it'll even turn out to be right).

No. Those players can be acquired through the Re-entry draft.
