If New Jersey players need a half assed Twitter photo to get themselves all psyched up for the next match, then perhaps they ought to start considering a career change.

Which is a good thing as far as I'm concerned. I love hating that dude and I don't really hate any of their players.
Totally agree on TMac. I think he is he best option for now, particularly as a 60 minute guy. But, that is a prime spot for an upgrade.
They slotted us in 6th, two spots below our SS Standing place and one behind our PPG standing place. Not too shabby as it represents a 5-post jump from last week and I can understand them hedging their bets going forward given our schedule the next 2 months.I am curious to see where we are in the Power Rankings probably coming out tomorrow. . . . . . I predict 6th or 7th.
Or u know slot our 700k midfielder who has not been give a fair chance or as much a chance as tmac to see what he can do with Pirlo Iraola Lampard and harrison. Guarantee we would be more dangerous.
You are being disingenuous comparing a midfielder to a forward. But whatever, no one is budging on their positions here.2015 (Both surrounded by the same players) :
Mix: Min played - 2075, Goals - 3, Assists - 0
TMac: Min Played - 1324, Goals - 5, Assists - 2
2016
Mix: Min played - 814, Goals - 1, Assists - 2
TMac: Min Played - 1172, Goals - 3, Assists - 5
How many min does Mix need for you to consider it a fair chance? Many of us are sad to see Mix potentially go but don't throw TMac under the bus and disregard what he's done to earn his spot. What are you basing your theory that Mix will magically start producing when surrounded by Harrison and Iraola on? Remember what happened last year when they put Mix on the right wing while focusing the offense up the left side for Villa and Angelino? Mix didn't get the ball and couldn't produce without it. With how Harrison is playing why would it be any different this time around?
How many of these minutes that Mix has included playing together with Iraola, Lampard, Pirlo, Harrison, and Villa? I don't care what anyone says, there is NO WAY TMAC is the player that Mix is. NO WAY. No comparison.2015 (Both surrounded by the same players) :

It is now NYCFC!!!!Which unbelievably somehow happens to be tomorrow. I could almost use a few more days to come back down to earth. Well, not really. Is it tomorrow yet?!?
Impossible to compare minutes and production last year. How much of TMac's success was due to Mix's play on the field, not necessarily by providing an assist, but because he drew defenders or sprung a player that got the assist. Unless each player is playing the same position (either forward or midfielder) then it's really apples to oranges.2015 (Both surrounded by the same players) :

Actually that's not correct. Mikey got replaced by Mix for a 3-4 game stretch (with very good team results when Mix was on the field and not subbed off) and then Lampard came back.Mix has played 2889 mins, been managed by 2 coaches who have used multiple systems giving mix a chance is different positions as well he has had enough of a chance.
We have already seen from last season that Mix is invisible when playing out wide so i don't see why he should take TMac's place. I know TMac has not been as good recently but this in part could be due to us playing more down Harrison's side because hes so good.
Mix had his chance when FF was out, he was competing against Mikey Lopez and he got dropped to the bench which pretty much sums up just how much of a disapointment he has been.

Also, as I pointed out in another post, playing wing last year was different than this year. Kreis still wanted to play tight down the spine so the wingers were asked to play a lot differently than they do now. Mix was often left on an island without players moving and supporting him the way they do this year, because the ball was supposed to go back to the middle. I'm not saying he'd 100% be better this year, but the wings this year are essentially wide playmakers whereas last year they were simply complimentary to the center of the pitch.
Just as excuses shouldn't be made, improper comparisons shouldn't be levied. Right now the forums are rife with unfair comparisons and expectations of what Mix should be achieving without properly framing the argument or reflecting on how other players affect the outcome. If he is earning 750k we shouldn't be constantly having to make excuses for him. He should have been one of our best players but Lopez came in. I am not so sure PV would have brought Mix back in for Lopez had Lampard not come back. Mix had a chance in the Cosmos game where he should have been by far the best player on the pitch but again he did not perform well. I just don't see how we can have someone earning that much on the bench.
PV appears to want to sell him and currently we are top of the eastern conference and playing very well so imo i see no reason why we should keep someone whoes paid 750k but can't even make the 18.
You say that but the opposition players were equally bad. Thats like saying that if Mix went and played in NASL that it would be impossible for him to look good. What should have been happening was Mix creating a number of chances and then if the other players can't finish well then that would not be his fault but this didn't happen.Just as excuses shouldn't be made, improper comparisons shouldn't be levied. Case in point: there is no way Mix could have shined in the Kosmos game with the players around him - none. He had Mo, Larry, and Curly playing the three forwards, and he had Ballouchy and Mickey in the midfield with him. Only Messi could have looked good with that setup, and even then that's a stretch.

It's a fair question to ask what Mix would do as a mid with Iraola and Harrison, but that's a comparison with Lampard, not TMac. For TMac, he'd have to be a CM or Mix would have to play the Wing for the comparisons to be equivalent.

No way u take off lampard he has been pretty good for us when healthy. My point us if we want to max our offensive potential we have to see what mix can do with our most talented lineup for a few games. The kid is a good player. He has been mixed and matches switched positions played with a bunch of scrubs his whole time here.I agree but what S1ARK5 is proposing is a TMac swap not a Lampard swap so that's what I was refuting:

And to be fair I do think Mix has been a complete bust. But I do think there are alot of variables. We invested a good amount into him. You k ow he has skill and has proven to be at the very least a capable mid in other competition outside of mls. Why not see one last time what he can do with this new lineup. If he fails then ao be it it would be all on him. My point is surely he can be better then tmac on the left side more towards the center next to pirlo. But whatever as long as we are winning I dont give a you know what but I just want pur best starting XI out there and to me mix has to be involved. That's fair, I do agree he should have at least been on the bench the last few games and given a chance to come on for either TMac or Lamps to at least see what he could do with the current lineup. Unless he did something to really piss PV off the only reasonable explanation for him not getting that chance is that hes been slated for a move for a while now.
