They literally found a folder labeled “Eric Adams” in the raid. Lol.So, if Mayor Adams goes to jail, are we too far down the path for our stadium plans to get derailed or are we good?

Uhhh, Bloomberg? Really? Nutjob? Maybe running for President, sure. But everything else? Nope.We just need him to not resign for what, 10 months? 8 months? Hang in there, Mr. Mayor.
In all seriousness, why is every single NYC mayor a complete nutjob? When's the last time we had a normal, decent person running the city? Adams, De Blasio, Bloomberg and Giuliani are all nutjobs. I was too young for Dinkins and Koch. Were they normal?

Best mayor in my adult lifetime and it's not close. And I'm old. And a lifelong Democrat. And someone who works with City agencies in my work.Maybe nutjob was too harsh, but he wasn't exactly well-liked as the mayor.
In the other hand, if you’re the NYC Police Commissioner…One historic certainty of NYC Mayors is they never advance their political career beyond Mayor. They don't become Governors, or Senators, or even Members of the US House. Forget about the presidency.
Dinkins served briefly in the NY State Assembly after he was mayor, and that's pretty much a step down. A Mayor O'Dwyer who served in the 1940s was appointed Ambassador to Mexico when his mayoralty ended. Before that you have to go back to Mayor Fernando Wood, a pre-Civiil War mayor who was in the US House both before and after being Mayor. And before that I stopped looking. I knew this was a thing but I did not realize how far back it went.
That means no politician with a reasonable hope to attain higher office will try to become Mayor. And what's left are ambitious people who know deep down this is as high as they can go even while a part of them holds on to the delusion that they will be different. So yeah, they're all a little off in some way. Not necessarily nut-jobs, but if they weren't at least a little touched or otherwise flawed they'd take a different path.
My man Teddy. We could use a good dose of him these days.In the other hand, if you’re the NYC Police Commissioner…

Yeah, green rooftops vs solar panel rooftops. Which one is better?I find it amusing that most of the buildings they will be adding are green on top in the photo so it appears as more park space.
Hopefully, the developers convert some of the commercial space in phase 3 into a parking garage instead.lol we’re never getting those parking spaces now

Agree, if you also set aside his excessive concern for ferrets.I'd also make the case that Giuliani wasn't a nut job until after he left the office. Maybe arguably until the last few months of his term, post 9/11. But that's still 7 1/2 years of not being a nut job.
Right - the obvious solution for all the paved over parkland was to stack the parking and return the green space. If the cost of that is to build a casino - maybe not worth it to me, but something to consider. There are three parking garages in the plans (e) - Solar Panels on Structured Parking.
How may spots in total though? Doesn't say... But you have to assume he is planning enough spots to operate Mets games and Casino/Entertainment parking, so as long as NYCFC is planning around the '7-hour rule' (or whatever it was), you think it'd be beneficial to us.
