Dirty little secret - Gate 2 at YS which lets out around the left field foul pole almost never has a line.
And this year.
That's just terrible. If the Yankees were capable of feeling embarrassment, they'd feel a lot of it.
Worth noting that they do have the new magnetometers that don't require removal of keys, phones, etc., which does allow people to move much faster. Wonder what the problem was on Saturday.

Can’t speak to baseball. And admittedly I do tend to get to the park early. But whenever I walk past long lines at the main gates by the time I get to gate 2 I don’t think I’ve ever taken more than 2 minutes to get through the gate. Not for baseball! I've been in that line a long time waiting to get in for a Yankees game.
Always puzzles me how Citi does fine with 2 gates, with 80% of fans using the rotunda, while Yankee Stadium struggles with 4.Yes they do, but they don't have enough of them. They funnel everyone through one magnetometer at each gate. At Citi Field on Saturday, they had a line of, what, 5 magnetometers at the Rotunda? That's why there's never a line to get in.
Yankee Stadium could do that if they wanted to. They choose not to.

2 plus more season and bye bye Yankee stadium. I have a feelng we will play one game at Citi and one game at Yankee before we play our first home match at Etihad Parl in 2027.
That would surprise me considering the financials involved. We'll do our YS and CF farewells in 2016, and start on the road in 2017 until the stadium is ready if we're running behind on construction.
Stellar job by Patricof getting the stadium done.whoa we're going back in time!
Confirmation; or they could just have the same surce lol.Our guy SoupInNYC continues to have the goods.

I think it's finally time for the star gif of this thread...
There's a third gate at Citi Field. Rotunda, left field corner, and right center. I use the right center gate and have not once ever had to wait in line. Although now that I think of it there were two times I had to scoot in front of the very slow-moving Third Rail parade so I wouldn't have to wait behind them LOLAlways puzzles me how Citi does fine with 2 gates, with 80% of fans using the rotunda, while Yankee Stadium struggles with 4.
We actually have different sources on this oneConfirmation; or they could just have the same surce lol.
But I don't doubt Soup for a minute.
Left field is the one I didn’t know about. I’ve used RF, opposite where EP will be, and it’s been easy for me as well. There's a third gate at Citi Field. Rotunda, left field corner, and right center.
