Stadium Discussion

23,397?
I think this is the first post after they "broke ground" ceremonially....
So it took 23,397 posts to construction!

What number do we predict for stadium opening? I think 25,500ish.
What if the post number on opening = stadium capacity? that would be wild!

i am very much looking forward to the list of concession vendors being released. both inside the stadium and the food hall-ish type place that will be publicly accessible.

Well it's been 10 years of waiting so that's approx. 2,340 posts/year. If construction takes 28 months, that means we're looking at around another 5,000 posts before the stadium opens -- and probably more as exciting details are announced.

I think I've said too much.

I'm very much looking forward to the complaints about season ticket prices. That might bring us close to post 25,000
Maybe I'll open up a dedicated 2027 Season Ticket Holder thread early. I'm already pissed. Jacking up my seats by 4.5x

Funniest Moments of the Day (not in any particular order)
- Adams arrived with a Mets hat and switched to the current (original) NYCFC logo hat
- Adams terrible mispronunciation of Etihad (twice!) must be so his Turkish Airlines deal doesn't stop\
- Adams with the Manchester United comment left a few people going "what?"
- Someone from the crowd shouted something when Don Garber took the stage. Unsure what was said.
- Don Garber forgetting about the president of Concacaf and interrupting the union president from beginning his speech

4.5X is asinine and insane. Whoever is coming with this pricing model is doing some hard drugs and is not liviing in reality.

Can’t believe its been 10 Years since this journey began. I grew as this forum, fan base, club and team has. I remember sneaking glimpses of my phone in highschool, constantly refershing Safari trying to get my bits in about the very beginnings about the club on this very thread.

After many years of maturity and experiences later, here we are, breaking ground. Glad to be part of it and be able to say that I’ve been here from the very beginning.

Thought this was a really cool illustration of the construction that's going to happen.

Brad Sims said yesterday they are raising the stadium 6 feet above ground level to account for the flood plain.

you can tell how soft that ground is with the number of piles they need to support the structure. definitely flood plain.

nycfc anthem?

did you really forget this masterpiece?
