Can you at least say us when there will be official news ?
I don't know who Buckley speaks to - but I was told to expect nothing until the deal with the city is finalized. The spot is chosen. The argument is over debt relief. If the person Buckley spoke with is half as in the know as my person, then you can guarantee it.
I wouldn't be surprised if it's in Times Square.

Just posted this to r/nycfc. So what do you guys think? If this is true then its back to square one...
How is it a joke? It was always going to be tough getting a SSS in the city.

Of course it is. But it's a joke that they somehow managed to go even further back than where they started. Bronx and Queens were really the only realistic places. And now neither seem to be on the table at this point.
The thing is we don't really know what's realistic, all we have is rumors. The club has been tight lipped throughout the whole process. Who knows, one day we could wake up and pier 40 won't be a pipe dream anymore
Sources close to the situation have been saying all sorts of shit. Maybe it's "leaked" on purpose. Who the hell knows but until I hear from the club I'm not giving any air to anything. It's mostly anti-NYCFC fuckheads having circlejerks every time there's some "news from sources close to the situation" claiming we're finished.
The funny thing is when the rumors were saying the stadium deal is close to being done no one wanted to believe it. NY1 says they're searching outside the Bronx and they treat it like gospel
Exactly.....not believing anything until I hear it directly from the club. I don't believe the whole unable to acquire all of the land needed deal....a bankrupt garage and an elevator company...not too difficult....but who knows, we will just have to wait and see...
I like how we ended up being NYCFB by the end of the article.
I live in queens, so this wouldnt be too bad for me. However, theyre really alienating people from Westchester, CT and upper Manhattan if this goes through...creating horrible commutes for everyone. No better than Harrison NJ for some
