We can just cante lever it over the harlem river.
Meanwhile over in LA..........................
is 20K too small? i feel that stadium is very tiny for the hype its supposed to be getting
Yes.
Totally agree. People are always talking 35k-40k. Seriously? I think 25k-27k is the sweet spot for us.Sellouts must be the best return for the money. No wasted construction costs on empty seats, and it drives the average ticket price up a bit. Put another way. building another deck to sell $15 tickets a third of the time is probably not as effective as selling out 100% of the time at ticket prices 15% higher than what they would otherwise be.
I feel like I'm the only small stadium proponent here. I would be fine with a 21-22k stadium for us. Preferred expandable just to save us the trouble in 20 years when all of yous kids are grown up and attending.

I won't once again bother to go into the economics of expansion in NYC. Carry on.Sellouts must be the best return for the money. Like SFphoto said, 25-27k is probably our sweet spot.In the age of declining attendance at all sporting venues, i think the sweet spot for most MLS teams is about the 20-25,000 range.
NYCFC shouldnt be buiding anything bigger than 30,000.

Nope.
Nope.
It is fair to assume that MLS attendance will rise. This has been the trend, and it has been so in the face of other sports declining.

Also, you don't need a 100% full stadium for the atmosphere to be solid. You only need 80% or so. That provides good atmosphere and room to grow.
WELCOME BACK TO THE CHAOS!!!Jesus Christ I just read two weeks of this. I need another two weeks off.
Remember, if we can all stay off for two straight weeks, the Stadium Announcement will come!Alright. Thread closed for two weeks. Go home. See your families.
