No matter what happens in the Yankees' postseason, it likely won't impact NYCFC.

If the Yankees make it to the ALCS, their last home game would be Oct. 18 -- giving us plenty of time for the changeover.

If they somehow make the World Series, they would very likely play at home Oct. 27-29, meaning November 1 would be fine as long as NYCFC is the 2-seed.

And still our tenancy at YS sucks, because next year, or the year after that, we could find ourselves in route to fulfilling great objectives, playing in a conference semi or conference final, and have our home game moved to CT because Yankees! We seem to have dodged a bullet this year, but just having to make these calculations and be at their mercy is infuriating!

Yep. With the Yankees in the Wild Card, the only possible conflict is if they make the World Series.

And if MLS moves the playoffs around (as it's rumored) and the Yankees have a new dynasty with all their young players (and soon new high priced FAs) and play late into their playoffs each year it's a perfect storm for conflicts and we don't have an alternative venue. We'd probably be better off moving to Citi Field in the interim, because you know - the Mets.

And there is no problem with Yankees finishing on the 29th and converting the field Nov 1, I mean technically from the close of the game on the 29th (say 11 pm) to 7 pm on Nov 1 is only 68 hours...and we know the Yankees don't lift a finger to do it faster than they have to.

I honestly have no faith in the Yankees fulfilling their bargain. Also with any potential rain delay and/or rainout and reschedule NYCFC is screwed.

I don’t mind Citi Field. Best foodie options. No chicken bucket though.

Please provide some evidence of your claim. I will even accept anecdotal evidence.
my mom doesn't know who david villa is.... so there's that.
As for an anecdote: when i was a kid, my dad used to ask me how much they are paying me to watch sports on tv, then he'd turn off the game and tell me to go cut the grass. Also he is a transplant from europe.

I believe that checked all the boxes, case dismissed.

With the Portland Renovation Announcement, I looked at its inspiration, the Bombonera (Boca Juniors Stadium), and the flat and high side made me wonder if we could do something of a scaled down version of the stadium (30k-35k), would the footprint be significantly reduced and make it easier to fit the stadium somewhere?

I know this is an old message but I had the same thought. I searched the forums and found this post, almost exactly what I was going to say. Did anyone ever reply or do a size comparison with that Red Bull Arena template?

Is this Millennial humor or just nonsensical?
